Hoping you can help. My husband and I are thinking about looking into adoption. We're just starting out and don't know where to begin. What are some good, legitimate adoption agencies in the far NW suburbs of Chicago? And if there's any additional information you'd like to share on the topic of adoption, I'd appreciate it.

We used Sunny Ridge, which is now part of Holt. They have moved their office to Bolingbrook, but location is less important than how you feel about an agency. They do have monthly meetings which provide good information that you'll need to know before you decide if you want to proceed. Feel free to pm if you have any specific questions.
The Cradle in Evanston is a great place. We had started the process with them 12 or 13 years ago when I finally became pregnant. They are very professional and helpful. We attended several workshops which gave us an overview of the options and processes. I wish you luck. :)
Evangelical Family is great is you are a Christian. They are down to earth, professional, and very good at maintaining contact with you every step of the way.
You can try st. Mary's services in Arlington Heights or The Cradle. Both are excellent agencies. Good luck to you!
