I am looking for a good preschool for my 4 year old daughter in the Green Tree, PA area. She will not be attending Kingergarden for another year because her birthday is in December. She has been going to the Tendercare in Greentree 3 days a week and I know they qualify as a preschool, though bacause of the office complex about 85-90% of the kids that attend do not live in Green Tree and will not be going to a school in Green Tree. I want her to start meeting more kids in our area and meeting kids she will be going to school with. I am searching for a good preschool in our community.

What can I do next?

I heard St Simon and Jude offers pre-school on Greentree Rd and you may want to check out St Margarets of Scotland. I live in Crafton so I have been looking myself and have heard good things about both. Although, I probably will end up sending my daughter to St Phillips in Crafton because its closer and I like the times they offer.

My brother and sil send their kids to ABC's on Greentree Road in the church across from Sts. Simon and Jude. They have attended the preschool, before and after school program and the summer daycare. I haven't heard them say anything bad about it and their kids love it.

You should tour a bunch of places and ask lots of questions...get a feel for the places and you will know which one will be best for you and your daughter. Try Crafton Children's Corner. There are 2 locations, and one is in Greentree. They just moved about a year ago to this location and it's very nice. ###-###-####. Ask for Starr. They also have a program called Transitional Kindergarten which is for kids who don't meet the kindergarten cut-off but are ready for something more than just preschool. Good luck!

Both of my sons attend St. Margaret Of Scotland. They are older, but we love the school and the pre-school teacher is great.....good luck.

I had my little ones in Beth El Nursery School, just off Cochran road in Scott Township. We were very happy there -- it's small, friendly and nurturing. Some of the kids live in Chartiers Valley (just up Green Tree Rd.), some in Mt. Lebanon or even Upper St. Clair. I guess you could ask your local elementary school which pre-schools their kids come from. Another good way to meet kids in your district would be to attend kids' library programs there on Manilla Ave. Best of luck!
