Hello M.,
South Bay Adult School has classes that are very inexpensive. You can also try South Bay Mom's Club -- those meetings are free or very inexpensive also.
Lots of Love,

I'm looking for a "Mommy and Me" class in the Southbay area. I've found a few, but all of them cost money. Is that typical?

I belong to my local MOMS club. It's $25 a year and they have lots of playgroups for different ages. I have several friends who have gone through Brite Beginnings and loved it. You could also try searching on meetup.com for a group in your area.
South Bay Adult School has a great Mommy and Me program that is under $200 for 34 weeks of classes. Check out their website for the class information - I think fall sign ups are starting soon.
Hi M.,
Should you be interested in looking into Jewish Mommy and Me groups in the South Bay, I can help. Feel free to contact me anytime; the Concierge service is complimentary (but yes, the groups do cost$)!

Hi M.,
If you are looking for a Class - yes most likely you'll pay for that.
Many are available through the cities at a reduced cost.
If you are simply looking to hook up with other moms and have a regular play date - there should be no cost.

you can search for something local on this website.
Otherwise, I'd just try the park - start up a conversation with all the other mothers.

Yes it does cost money. I even joined the local momsgroup but they do charge a $20 yearly fee. They mostly have playdates in the park sorted by kids' age group and once a month, there a mom's night out and a book club. No mommy and me classes.
We are with Wondernation now and I wished I knew about their mommy and me class when my daughter was born. They are a good resource, though a bit expensive.
Maybe check out BCHD and Bright Beginnings - but I know they cost money.
Best of luck to you and congratulations!
I agree with SBAS, it is a great program that is more than just mommy & me. It is actually a parenting program that you go through with your child all the way through kindegarden if you wish. Now is the time to get in. It is hard program to get into becuase of a wait list, but if you can get into a summer program you are in and get priority for future classes.
