I go to Dr. Samson at the Pediatric Medical Center in Long Beach. He is just off the 405 Freeway. He has been a pediatrician for over 20 years and has 13 children of his own. He has been around and seen everything. There are 5 other peds in his office too, so you can get an appt the same day if necessary. www.informedparent.com is their website. I go to Dr. Kasamatsu @ beach Pediatrics in HB. She is great! I do not know if they take Health net.
Dr Cornelson is by far the best physician I have ever met, and being a health care provider myself, that's pretty great. I trust him completely and he has fantastic bedside manner. He is an older gentleman that obviously has many years experience and a natural gift with children. pediatriccare.net. Not sure if the group takes healthnet!
We go to Dr. Stuart Furumizo, and really like him! He's in the same office as Dr. Pepek, who someone else mentioned. (I've met her too and she's very nice). They're on Beach Blvd. just north of Talbert. ###-###-####. Not sure about whether they take HealthNet.
I was just recommended Dr. Trina Austin ###-###-####. We went for our first appt and I loved her. She spent alot of time with my son. good luck

Edinger Medical Group was ranked as the #1 medical group in Southern California and they have a great group of doctors that have offices in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. We really like all of the doctors we have met there. They take HealthNet HMO's as well as many other HMO's. They also have a great website where you can schedule appointments etc. (edingermedicalgroup.com). My husband and I use there adult doctors and our 8 month old son has been with Doctor Valery Brouwer since birth (but we have seen a few of the other pediatricians when he was sick)-- all are great doctors.
There is a group Office of the Patient Advocate (OPA) which is an independant review of Health Plans and Medical Groups which may be helpful (google the name, I forget the website).

17742 Beach Blvd. Ste. 240 Inbetween Slater and Talbert. They have a couple great doctors in their office. They have been there since my son was born and never have had a problem. They are very compassionate people and our Dr. Furmizo has a son so close to our son's age so he can relate to everything we are going thru. ###-###-#### is the number not sure what insurance they take.
