Seeking a Good Kaiser Pediatrician.

We have recently switched from Providence to Kaiser due to cost & are having trouble finding a good Kaiser Pediatrician. I am not too pleased with Kaiser in general & am hoping that I can at least find a decent Pediatrician for my son. I live in the SE- so I am hoping that maybe there is someone good at their Sunnyside location? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What can I do next?

I've been with Kaiser for 6 years and I really like them. (My experience with Providence was not good, so I'm MUCH happier with Kaiser). I live in NE, so I take the kids to Interstate. I love the pediatricians there (we have Dr. Kim Luft and we really like her). I recommend you try out a couple of doctors at Sunnyside; give them a chance, there are some good ones.

We just recently had to switch from Kaiser. We really liked our pediatrician/s (team of two who job share)... Dr. Kimberly Luft and Dr. Linn although they are at the Interstate site in NE.

We went to Dr. Joan Sage at the Mt. Scott Pediatric Clinic which is at the Kaiser Sunnyside campus. We found her very warm and compassionate.

Hope that helps

We see Jean Nava at East Interstate in North Ptld. She is not pushy with vaccinations and has worked well for us since our son was born 18 months ago. urbanmamas is a good local site to check out with that question too. Good Luck.

I have been taking my 16 month old daughter to Dr. Wendy Lin at the Kaiser Interstate East Medical Office, and we love her! There have been a few times that my daughter was sick and Dr. Lin was not avalible, however the Pediatricians that we did see were both helpful and reassuring. I'm actually sorry to say that my work just changed health insurance and I have to leave my OB/GYN (Dr. Jennifer Rupert):-(. So, Perhaps you should try the East Interstate offices.

We have been taking our 20 month old DD to the Division Kaiser since she was born. We see Dr. Nicole Davis and she is wonderful as are most of the doctors and nurses in the clinic there. The do not have urgent care there though so we go to sunnyside mt. scott for urgent. I have had good and bad experiences, mostly good. Mainly the bad experiences have been the waits on the phone or the waiting for perscriptions but they do have A LOT of resources such as classess, etc.

I live in SE so feel free to email me if you want more details - ____@____.com

My kids have been seeing Dr. Ruden at Kaiser's Division clinic since they were born (now 6 and 3-1/2). They both enjoy him and I enjoy him as well. He has tons of experience and has always taken our visits and my concerns or questions seriously.

We see Dr. Joan Sage at Kaiser Mt. Scott which is the Sunnyside location for their pediatrics clinic. She is very compassionate and looks at the whole picture, not just symptoms. In her absence we have also seen Mr. Pacosa, who is a physician's assistant who has worked there for about 20 years. He is great too. He specializes in pediatric asthma as well, which has been helpful when my little one was diagnosed as an infant.

Hello A. G. Yes, I also had to switch to Kaiser from a really great pediatrician/office, and I have had my concerns definitely. We do feel that Dr. Ruden, at the SE Division Office, is a very caring and attentive sort of doctor and person, and we've had our two children treated by him for the last 4 years. If you'd like more information, please contact me at ____@____.com, I'm in a really great mom's group called Mothers and More, and it's been an excellent way to meet other moms in the area (both working in/out of the home), share information and have fun, so I can tell you about that too if you are interested.
Best, J. S
