Seeking 2-3 Year Old Preschool in Clarkston Area

My daughter will not be 3 until January 9, 2010 so she misses the 3 year old preschool cut off by 1 month and 10 days. However, I really want to get her into a preschool. I really am not trying to "push her", but I have a few reasons for wanting her to go into preschool:
1. She is pretty mature for her age. Everyone always thinks she's older than she is. She always plays with 3 year old's as opposed to kids her age. Her being extremely tall does not help this.
2. I am a stay at home mom, so I really want to get her into a setting where she is around other kids other than her cousins and my close friends kids.
3. I have a 10 month old that I would like to spend some one-on-one time with even if that means it is only for 2-3 hours a day, 2 days a week. I am sure I could think of some others too.

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions as to a good preschool in the Clarkston area, that accepts 2 year old's, I would be so grateful for your help. I hear Funshine is great, but their cutoff is December 1st. So again, we miss it by not quite 1 1/2 months. Also, she is 100% potty trained so that is not an issue for her.

Thanks for your help.

Try Stepanski Early childhood center....Excellent school it is in Waterford. They are taking apps now you must call for a pkg. To sign her up. My 9 yr old went there for 2 yrs and my lil one might go this year.

Try Cedar Crest Academy on Dixie Hwy (it's about a mile north of I-75). They have a two year old room that focuses on socialization but does work on letters, art, etc. I had my child enrolled until we moved and it was fantastic! He is so far ahead of kids his age and I attribute it all to Cedar Crest. They were pretty reasonable price wise too.

S., We have been extremely happy with Clarkston Co-op preschool. They have very loving teachers and a small and warm environment. I am not sure what the cut-off date is for birthdays, but I do know they will let you join part way through the year if that is an option too. The website is currently not operating but if you would like more info. than you can contact me with your phone number and I'd be happy to help you contact a board member or teacher. They also offer a two's program but that is for parent and child. Please feel free to contact me,the school is amazing! Many people are not sure about doing a co-op as you do have to work 1 (maybe 2 ) days a month, but there are ways to work around this if needed and being in the classroom is an amazing experience! I really hope to hear from you!

S., I was also going to suggest that you check into Clarkston Co-op, I have heard great things about it. My daughter went to Crosshill Preschool in Davisburg and we were very happy, At that time they had several different programs for a variety of different age combinations, so your daughters age should not e a problem. Good Luck!
