Try Zout. It comes in a spray or squeeze bottle. (Blue)
I have used it for everything. It has even worked after it was dried from the dryer. I still use it today.
My daughter is noe eatin baby food and she loves veggies, but hates all fruit. Anyway, her favorite is carrots, but as you can imagine, she's a messy eater and she has reflux. I need some ideas on how to get carrots stains and other types of stains out of my clothes and hers? I always try to rinse them as soon as it happens and I've tried Dreft, Shout, and several other stain removers with no success. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks, N. H.

Hi, my name is D.. The absolute best stain remover is the Dual Power Spray N Wash or Carbona Stain Devils, which are little yellow bottles of spot remover for all kinds of problems: there is one for blood, for ketchup and sauces, for oil and grease, crayons and ink, cola and coffee. These two are the best stain removers ever, guaranteed! I have found that even after drying clothes with the stain you can put these spot removers on and they will work like magic.
Good luck.

When my daughter was a baby, she used to spit up alot and I used to spot stain her clothes with DAWN dishwashing liquid until i could wash them..... Dawn takes out all stains.. Hopefully this works for u

Here's what I do for tough stains, I use Woolite Oxy Carpet Cleaner. Even if it has gone through the dryer, I spray it on & let it sit for a couple of days. The stains ALWAYS come out! You may have to repeat it on the really tough stains, but IT DOES WORK! And it doesn't lighten the fabric around the stain. Good luck & let me know if this works for you! S.

I, like Linda have used Oxy Clean. It really works great, especially on stains that have been there for awhile. You will have to let them soak for a day or so, but other than that it works wonderfully. I've never tried the other suggested products. You may find quicker results with those.

this is a long shot it's been years since i've had to worry about this my baby is 4 but look at walmart there is a stain remover in the baby section with a pink and white lable it's called nursery stain remover or something like that, it works wonders, even gets out those leaky diaper stains. good luck.
Hi! My name is J. and I am a SAHM with a home business and I can tell you, you don't have to use those harsh chemicals/toxins on your baby's clothes. There are other safer and better alternatives out there for stain removal. If you want more info, please visit my website at:

Totally Toddler is the best, it smells and lookes like Dreft, but for some reason it works much much better. You can buy a spray bottle and then go to Meijer you can buy the half-gallon refills for I think 6.99. It gets out almost everything. I have had a few things that I have had to run through twice, but that was very few. I love it. Hope this helps. Good luck!!
I've never tried this but my mom recently told me soaking bibs or stained cloths in electrosol will remove stains. That's the dishwashing detergent. I was surprised when she told me this but she says it's an old trick of the trade.

Hi my name is B. I use some great products that take out about anything and no toxins that harm are family and are safe for the enviroment more info contact me by phone or e-mail ###-###-#### thank you and good luck
I know you said you have tried shout, I have very good luck with shout and babyfood. What I do is I get the liquid in the spray bottle, and I spray quite a bit on the stain, then i take what ever it is and ball it up and let is sit overnight/24 hours, then wash it, if that doesnt work, you can try putting some dawn on the stain as it works very good for food stains also. you can even try using a toothbrush and scrub the stain remover into the stain.
Hello. I always used Amonia (and I still can't spell it), I put in 1/4 cup in all washing except using bleach, they can't be mixed and it is very inexpensive and I can still use Shout when I see a stain. It works great with my kids' clothes. Also, my niece won't eat veggies and my sister mixes the fruits and veggies together. As for spitting up, I mix a bit of cereal in with my baby's food. Helps keep it down and cereal is way less expensive than baby food. One other idea is that you might be able to keep a long sleeve shirt in your kitchen and you could just put it on over what you are wearing and button it up and not worry about the stains on your clothes. Kind of like how children wear dad's old shirt to paint in, no need to worry about your clothes getting stained that way.
I swear by Totaly Toddler. It has been a life saver for me. I use it to this day with my kids 6 and 3. I also have gotten my sisters and grandmother to use it.
Although it's been a long time since I've dealt with babyfood stains, I would have to agree with the other posts and try the Oxy Clean. I used it just yesterday on my son's sheets following a night time nosebleed. The stain was old and dried and it came out like a charm.
I wonder too, if you are using jar food if there isn't some food dye that they are using in their food. You might want to try steaming your own carrots and putting them through your blender or food processor. It's really easy and you can freeze the rest in ice cube trays or little baggies for later.

Try ZOUT. I spray it on both sides of the clothes and let it sit until I am ready to wash the clothes then I spray it again five miuntes before I put it in the washer. It works really well. I used it on my daughters baby clothes when I was washing them for my son, 3 year old stains, and it got it out.
Hi,
Have you ever tried the product ZOUT (this is not a typo it is ZOUT)? That usually works for me. Spray it on rub it in and let it sit overnight then rinse it out and see if the stain is gone if you put it in the washer instead don't put it in the dryer until you look at it to make sure the stain is gone. Once its been through the dryer it's a lot harder to get out.
I am very picky about my daughters clothes . I used to used totally toddler bu now use the regular spray 'n' wash, in the green bottle, it is wonderful. the dual spry n wash can discolor come fabrics (i learned this the hard way :(! ) any way spray it on, scrub in with a small brush, let it sit then wash. It works great in cold water, that's all I use except for certain loads, I hate fading of any kind, and very rarely do I have to put it through twice.

I am not sure if you have found the answer you were searching for but here's some CHEAP advice on stains. I used all the store bought products also and was surprised one day to see my sister in law washing clothes in the kitchen sink. She told me to use Dawn dish soap. The original blue dish soap. I thought she was putting me on and had her try to remove and old chocolate stain. In less than 10 minutes the stain that had been haunting me for months was gone. Here's how I've been doing it. Wet the item with warm water, put a little Dawn on the stain and rub with some pressure. Rinse with warm water. Fill the sink with warm water and put a little Dawn on the stain if it's still there and let it soak for about 5 or 10 minutes depending on how dark the stain. Rinse and then wash as normal. Before you put it in the dryer check to see if the stain is gone. If not repeat with the Dawn. I hope this helps you out. It sure has helped me and I can't believe how much money I save now without buying the store bought stain removers.
Happy stain removing!!

Try using Oxy Clean and let the stain soak for a couple of days.

I can suggest OXY. Not the powder that comes in the containter but they actually have a stain remover that comes in a blue spray bottle. That has worked the best for us. I can find it at Marcs and Walmart but it usually does pretty well. Hope that helps.
The absolute best thing i have found for stains is soaking the clothes in a pan of HOT water and 2 scoops of oxyclean for atleast an hour, sometimes overnight, stirring it occasionally. Then wash on the hot cycle with a scoop of oxyclean with the detergent, use the extra rinse cycle for the baby's clothes. We use a large soup stock pot for the pan. This has gotten dried koolaid from my 2 yr old out of a brand new white t-shirt along with many other stains my boys have given me.
Hi N.. My mom used Biz when my sisters and I were babies and swore that the "Biz bucket" kept all the stains away. Well when I had my son I tried all the "new" stain fighters and they always seemed to leave a little hint of a stain if not the stain that was there to begin with. (He was a sweet potato kid so I know what you're getting at with the bright orange stains!) So, I tried out Biz. It was AWESOME! I just put a little bit in a bucket or in a sink and filled it with water. I would drop in his clothes as they were soiled and wash them within a day of starting to soak. The stains were gone every time. It even took out 99% of the old stains too. As he grew older and I added another one to the family the stains began getting stronger, things like grass and blood, etc. Biz still takes out everything. I still have a Biz Bucket and also add a little to the wash for an extra push if needed. I've used Oxi Clean, it works, but not as well as the Biz so I keep it around for things like cleaning carpets and my sofa. It's great for cool aid stains on the rug!
