out of necessity we got 4 carseats legally (since it has no airbags) into a 1989 pontiac bonneville. 3 toddler seats in the back seat and a snap over booster in the front. so any larger sedan should hold what you are looking for. as long as it has the 3 seatbelts in the back seat you are good to go. however I would recommend NOT putting the booster in the middle. it makes it really hard to buckle.

My Nissan Maxima fits 2 big toddler carseats and either an infant or booster. LOVE the car and have had no problems!

the altima by nissan is a lager sedan that fits car seats well in back. are you looking for your husband or yourself? i know my husband needed to find a car he could use for work and use for the family..and we went with an audi. it gives us the room that we need but is still a tight fit. my husband's father sells them..so it was buyingpoint for us. but i wanted the altima. they seemed to fit better in there. i suggest taking the car sits with you when testing the cars out, even the childern. then if you decide to buy come back and do the paperwork. that is what we did. we also own the pacifica. i did not want to yet move to a mini van..and i love my car now. it is great for us. we got the third row. only thing lacking is the avib. trunk space.
best of luck...let me know what you find that works for you.

If you're willing to go with a used car, I'd check out the Saturn L-series. They have more legroom/seat room than the S-series, but I don't think they make them anymore. (I'm sure their new models accomodate the same, however).

We had a 2000 LS-1 that could fit three child seats no problem, and they have the tethers on the back window to secure them, as well. My extended family members all have Saturns, and as a whole, I'm thoroughly impressed with them, not just for the child safety reasons, but for general performance.

hi, I have a 1999 Saab 9-5 Wagon and I've had two forward facing child seats and one rear facing seat in it (all three are Britax car seats) and now I have two booster seats and just one forward facing child seat and both configurations worked fine. You need a car with 3 seatbelts in the back and then it does need to be wide enough. With the Saab I fit the 3 in easily with inches still free on the sides by the doors.

I can fit them in any sequence so I would change abit: between having the baby in the middle where they say it is safest and moving her to the side where I don't break my back lifting her in.

I love having the wagon -I can't live without the cargo area: I can have the kids all sitting in the cargo area as I load stuff up at Target/Costco/other, I can lay baby down to change diapers, we eat snacks there, I sit on the 'tail gate' in the parking lot, giving baby bottle while the 2 toddlers play games in the cargo area - safely waiting for me to get done and having fun doing so. I'll never go back to a sedan with a trunk.

I doubt a Saturn sedan will fit 3 car seats (my mother-in-law has one), but we just ordered their Vue Hybrid which is not only one of the roomiest cars I have ever been in, but is affordable, sits lower to the ground than most SUVs (making it safer for other vehicles on the road) and, being a hybrid, has great gas mileage.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that our Camry could fit those seats. It has a lot of trunk room, and they're incredibly reliable with a really easy maintenance schedule. I get 30 mpg with my 4 cylinder, and it still goes pretty well. I got it used and it's granny gold, but otherwise I totally love it.

I am actually going to buy a Scion xB this afternoon. they look silly from the outside but they are incredibly ROOMY inside and very fun to drive. Plus they get great gas mileage!! I know they actually have the lock system available for up to three car seats. We also drove the Prius, Vibe, Caliber, Honda Civic Hybrid, Malibu Maxx, Rav4 and Matrix and nothing has compared. Turns out I liked the cheapest one the best, how often does that happen?!?!? Good luck with your search.

The Volvo S80 will fit 3 car seats in the back (2 regular & 1 booster). My mother-in-law has one & she's taken my 2 children & a nephew who uses a booster several times. It's a tight fit but it works. They are great cars, a little spendy but if you don't mind buying used, they have a fabulous pre-owned warranty- 6 yrs/100,000 - better warranty than what you get on a new one!!

Good luck

My parents own a Chevy Impala and we fit an infant car seat and 2 toddler seats in it. It has a trunk that is big enough to fit a double stroller plus a bunch of luggage too!

I would say a Dodge Intrepid, Chevy Impala, or Buick Lesabre would work. Also some toddler carseats are really wide the Cosco Touriva is very narrow and fits will next to other seats although I don't like this seat because the straps twist alot it's a thought because it's very narrow.

We had a Chev Impala and I LOVED it. It fit a booster, 1 forward facing and 1 rear facing at the same time...comfortably. Definately make sure you bring your carseats when you go car shopping though. If the seats fit tightly, you could end up scraping your hand every time you unbuckle the booster, or unbuckling the other seats instead if you can see what you're doing. Also, look for something with three shoulder belts, that way you'll have more flexability in arranging the seats in there. (But honestly switch to a mini-van. It's so "mom" but they really are convenient.) Good luck!

I have a Dodge Intrepid that will fit three car seats or 2 car seats and a booster. It's a very roomy car and still looks sort of sporty, not your typical mom mobile:)

I have a Ford Taurus and that will fit 3 seats in the back and all have the frame buckle latch built in, which was a huge factor for my choosing it.
