Hi there,
just curious, getting ready for #2 very soon and wanted to know if your labor was shorter the second time.
Best,
S.
My second was a week late and labor came on pretty quickly. Pains started about 3:30 and I was at the hospital at 7:30, at 1 to 2 minitues apart. She was born the day.
I was induced both times, but the second labor was shorter and much more easier.
No - mine second time labor was longer. The doctors were making me nervous cause they said I was carrying very low and they expected me to go quickly. So the minute my water broke, we hurried to the hospital. I ended up walking the halls twice, and then things started to progress. I went about 1 hour longer with my second, and that is when I predicted I was having a stubborn boy. My prediction was correct and he has been MUCH different than my calm girl from the day he was born.
Heck yes! I didn't even KNOW I was in labor with my second. I went in for my weekly check and the Dr. was like, "um, are you feeling anything? You're dilated to 4!" It was 3 hours later and 1 & 1/2 pushes. The doctor actually was yelling for me to stop pushing, and the nurse was saying, he's still coming! It was really the best labor and delivery I could have asked for. Good luck!
much shorter. first labor was 18 hours. second was 7!
I went totally natural with my 2nd which I think helped.
Yes, I was blessed with short labors - #1 water broke at 7:30pm, daughter born at 1:51 am (6 hours) #2 - water broke at 3 am and son born at 7:19 am.... (3 hours).
Best wishes for a stress-free delivery for mother and baby...
