I would just get a binder and some of those plastic sleeves.. That way you can put some of their assignments and art projects in... Then you can also just decorate sheets of paper with pictures and such and slide those in too. :) Let your kids help you decorate the binder. :)

Hi S.,
I purchase art portfolios from Aaron Brothers. Here are the specs:

Itoya
Art "Profolio" Evolution presentation / display book
11" x 14"
24 sleeves for 48 views
acid free / archival safe

I can usually get about two years worth of school stuff per book.

Take care,
A.

I put the papers that seemed most important in a Rubbermaid bin - those papers that showed her writing or other skills demonstrated, and art projects. The best ones.

I make a yearly photo book so I scan the progress reports and report card, any pictures taken etc and put them in that, as well as the bin.

I found a binder didn't work for us because the things she brought home were such different sizes and there was so much of it that we kept, that it took up too much space. Plus a Rubbermaid bin is inexpensive.

I scrapbook mine. I take a picture on the first day of school. I have the class picture along with an individual one from the same day. Picture with his teacher, plus I went on every field trip, so pictures from those. I have little blurps for what each picture is about. I listed his " Best friends", asked what he liked about school and being in K. Then I finished it off with his awards and K diploma! Micheals and like stores have tons of school theme paper and I used that. I used a scrapbook album purchased from A.C. Moore.

Good Luck!
