Our school would like to present an outdoor movie night and our PTA would pay for it however we have very limited funds, any ideas or suggestions on who we could use? We are located in N. Ft Worth/Keller area. Thanks so much any help would be greatly appreciated. We need a projector and screen to do this event outdoors.

What can I do next?

Ask your principal if the school has access to a projector and player, if not ask your parents. We have one family in the neighborhood that sets up a movie every year at halloween for the kids to stop and watch and dig through their loot. He uses his projector and sets out a big white sheet over his fence as the screen. Works great and the kids love it.

Sounds like a great job for a techie dad!

Good luck

I just saw this website earlier today.
http://midcitiespartyrental.com/
$125 for the projector, screen and pa system.

However, when I was teaching the school district had several projectors for computers (so you project them on to a screen for the class to see). Those same projectors will hook up to a dvd player or laptop. You can use someone's stereo system and a white sheet to project it on to. We do this at our house for a party we throw every year. It works great.

Either the Park Glen Neighborhood Association or PID 6 hosts regular movie nights in the the park during the spring and summer. Contact them and see who they use.

Team up with your local parks/rec b/c they do those all the time. PTA runs concessions, the city does the movie and you both do the marketing...works great for both.

I am doing shaved ice at a PTA/school movie night in May. We are an awesome fundraiser! Field Day, PTA Meetings, after schools, ect. Most schools make at least $50 a visit when we come out and we do all the work! :)

You could use us before hand to make some cash to pay for movie night and/or as a great treat on movie night!
