My husband gave me an intro lesson thing a few years ago. It was at I Dance 2 in Plano on Parker. http://idance2.com/
We loved it. The way ours worked was we learned some basic steps on some dances and then some more advanced ones on the ones we wanted to focus on. I believe we had 4 private lessons and then 1 group lesson and then they have a party afterwards and you can learn more during that. They have different options though, it was great though, we loved it.

My husband and I took some classes from the Art of Dance in downtown McKinney. The sessions are only 4 weeks long, so it's not a huge commitment. They offer a basic intro to ballroom and also other intro classes that where you just learn one kind of dance. I have included the link to their website.
