It is close approaching my hubby's bday. He gets himself all the newest gadgets out there and after 9 yrs together I have gotten him everything I can think of. I already did the Reunion Tower hotel in Dallas where the restaurant is in the lighted ball shape that spins around. After having a kid we have not had something romantic like that lately. So I need your help...what hotels are there in Fort Worth or Dallas, Tx area that is romantic for just us two..maybe hot tub in room or nice pool or spa. I don't want to sound cheap but dont want to spend tons on this...maybe couple hundred. Also somewhere that is in area where we could go eat and drink and not have to drive far to the hotel. I have heard Gaylord or Zaza but just their names sound expensive..lol. Please help me if you have had a great experience. Thank you-Liz

I am not very familiar with the area but we had stayed at the Adolphus downtown Dallas last year for a wedding and it was nice but not too expensive (we got a room deal on hotels.com for $115/night for a regular room). Not sure about their spa/pool/hot tub options, but it's pretty, romantic, and has many luxury amenities.

go to one of those hotel.com or hotwire.com and get a great deal on an expensive hotel. My brother got a room on a weekend at a 5-star hotel for $75, regularly $350+ Your husband will be happy to stay in a posh hotel and proud of you for getting such a good deal!

We stayed at the Mansion on Turtle Creek. We had in room massages, then after going ot to dinner came back and rented a movie and they bring up popcorn and sodas-for a price. Not sure what we spent but you could check it out. Zaza is great too and pricey. They have a great restaurant and on weekend nights will have a bar set up out by the pool with music and people will be lounging(in going out clothes-not swim suits). Also check the Stonleigh Hotel.

I've heard great things about Gaylord, very romantic. I have also stayed at Zaza for a bachelorette party and we had a ball, but it was pricey. My suggestion would be The Stockyard Hotel. There is no spa, but it is a super neat hotel.... old timey, Texas feel. Joe T. Garcia's is within walking distance, don't know if you have ever been, but it is great! Along with a burger joint right across the street called Love Shack...umm, delicious. I would recommend H3 Ranch for breakfast. I am still craving it two years later. Where ever you stay, I hope you have a blast!

Or maybe a Bed-n-Breakfast in Granbury...just a thought!

The Gaylord is expensive, but they have specials so you may want to check them out. It's very nice and there is lots to do and it's fun just walking around, looking at the shops. There are several dining choices as well. Enjoy celebrating!
