We just moved into a house about 3 months ago. My daughters bathroom seems to get ring around the tub really easy. I was cleaning all the time. This last month I've skipped a couple cleanings (since i'm later in my pregnancy it becomes harder to lean over and clean) and now i cant get it out at all. Does anyone have any suggestions. Anything would help. Dont worry about fumes I'll make my husband clean it. I just wwant it gone.

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

Scrubbing Bubbles works great. I also have a brush so I don't have to bend over the tub (I'm short). Let the Scrubbing Bubbles sit a few minutes then scrb and rinse. I live in an older home and find this product works well.

Blessings....

PS...You can get four cans at Costco for a reasonable price. One in the kitchen one in the bath. This product also works well on other home surfaces.

Lysol Bath spray works great. You spray it all over bath tub, wait a few minutes and scrib, it comes right off. You can also spray it in toilet and bathroom period. I love it.

Cheers!

If you have a porcelin tub or a resin tub try vinegar for a nontoxic clean, i was shocked when the ring disappeared with such ease. I've also read on Martha Stewart that Tea tree oil is good for that (only you dilute that because it's pricey)

Otherwise softscrub with bleach. Just make sure he rinses the bleach really well. then maybe clean is with a nontoxic cleanser.

Hi K.,
I use Magic Erasers for that stubborn tub ring. They work well and don't leave any chemical residue. I also use them in our marble shower as I haven't found a decent cleaner.
Sincerely,
L.

Not sure, but I think ring around the tub is mostly from the soap. I would try spraying it after use with a product like Shower Power or Clean Shower. You just spray and leave (and then maybe rinse before next use.) That way you can avoid constant scrubbing.

It's definitely soap scum. Sometimes when you clean the tub it looks like you've cleaned it all, but soap scum is so waxy, that it's difficult to see on a white tub. And if it doesn't get completely cleaned, then the ring will come back much faster. I can get it really clean with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and if you want to make certain it's gone, follow that up with 1 part ammonia and 5 parts water... spray on and rub with a dry towel, then rinse and wipe it again with a clean towel. Hubby will have to do that for sure.

Good luck!
