i would give it at least a week. Sometimes if you test to early, you will get a negative reading even if you are pregnant.
We've been trying to get pregnant with #3. Saturday night, about 24 hours late for my period, I saw a little blood, and I told my husband I thought I didn't get pregnant this month. But, as it turns out, my period never started in earnest, and now (actually, by Sunday night) the spotting has stopped.
I don't want to get either of our hopes up. But I can't stop thinking about it every time I go to the bathroom. So, what do you all think? Is it too soon to test?
TIA!

Thanks everyone. I stopped at Target on the way home from work. At this point I'm pretty confident it will be good news! Btw, I chose Clear Blue Easy because it was cheapest.

Since your period is late, you can test now with accurate results. Get the kit with two tests so that if you're not pregnant this month, you'll have one for next time. Good luck!
I say test (fingers crossed)
keep us posted :)
Test now! If you were scheduled to have your period already, a test would be quite accurate today. I like the First Response tests... Good luck!
that's what happened to me and it was implantation bleeding! He's now 10!
I would go ahead and test now. Well tomorrow that is cause they say it's best to do it in the morning. Not that I ever did but that's when your hormone lvl is supposed to be at it's highest. I think it's just cause you have more pee in the moring. If it says negative and you still don't start in a week I would test again. I was not even late when I found out I was having #2 I have really strong hormones.
Good luck and God Bless!
Have you even tested with an EPT yet? If not, why not? Test in the morning and see what it says. If your period still hasn't started but you get a negative on a home test you can go into the OB/GYN and request a blood test for a definitive answer. It'll be too early for an ultrasound but perfect timing for a blood test. And if the blood test is positive you can schedule your 8-10 week first check-up where they'll do the ultrasound to find the heartbeat.
If you're actively trying to get pregnant and like to test you can order very affordable tests online in bulk. They are just the strips but they work just as well. I've gotten positives as early as 9 days after ovulation (way before a missed period). Also the dollar stores normally have them for a buck. Hopefully you won't need more than what you bought though, let us know!!!!!
Test, and if it comes up negative but your period doesn't come, test again in a week. That was what happened to me when my daughter was conceived; I tested 2 days after my period should have come and the test results were negative. But my period still didn't come, so I tested again 7 days later, and got a very faint positive.
If you get a positive, you'll know, and if you get a negative, it'll still be a question mark, not necessarily a true negative. So I say go for it!
I would buy a 2 pack of tests and test in the morning (when the urine is most concentrated) and if it is negative repeat with the other test in 3-5 days. Until you know for sure act pregnant (i.e. no alcohol, drugs/meds, etc). Most home pregnancy tests are very accurate by the time you miss your period. Most of them are as, or possibly even more, sensitive than the tests in the dr's office, so no need to go to them for another test if you get a positive at home. Just call and schedule a first appt. Good Luck!
Same exact thing happened to me with my now 8 year old! You should be able to test NOW since you're already late. The tests these days are pretty sensitive. Good luck, and keep us posted :)
EPT is the best test. Mine was positive at 4 weeks. I lost the baby two days later, but I have used EPT every time and it's never been wrong.
i would wait a week. ;)
