I am looking to switch my son to a different pediatrician and was wondering if anyone had any experience with Group Health Associates in Mason? We currently go to Montgomery Pediatrics, while they are okay...I am not completely satisfied with our primary doctor. She seems to talk down to my husband and I, and she just doesn't seem confident about her answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi L.. We go to the GHA in Mason. They are awesome! They always take the time to talk to us and help us as we are first time parents with Twins! We see Dr. Robinson and I would recommend him highly!

I live in the Mason/Deerfield Township area. I have friends who take their children to Group Health Associates and are very pleased. We recently have obtained guardianship of our 8 year old daughter and are taking her to Springdale Pediatrics (located in Mason Urgent Care Building). My daughters went to Montgomery Pediatrics and we were very pleased with them, of course, that was 20 years ago. Good luck.

I have 3 recs for you, Dr. Cook at Northeast Peds in Landen is great- she's a mom, takes time to talk, really love her. Don't like Rankin or Petersen too much- they talk down too. Dr. Manfroy is at NE peds Blue Ash. He's great too, he listens , gets it. I have had to call him at 4 AM before and he is always caring. My other suggestion is Dr. Dumont. She is located by the children's outpatient in Mason by Lowes. She used to be at NE peds but left about a year ago. We haven't followed her yet, only because I don't know much about the practice, haven't researched it yet. Hope this helps!

We go to Springdale Mason Pediatrics with our 15 month old daughter. There are several doctors there and we have seen almost all of them. Most of them I like. But it is easy to try a few different ones and then when you settle on one you like, you can just book the majority of appointments with the one or 2 that you like. They have great hours also...until 9pm Mon-Thurs and then until noon on Saturday. Great for when something crops up at the end of the day that you think needs to be addressed.

Sorry, I don't know anything about this group, ... I use Northeast Cinti. Pediatrics and they have been great. They have an office in Mason, Lebanon, & Blue Ash. The Mason office even has late hours. Good luck. I also know Pediatrics Assoc. of Mt. Carmel is good but their nearest office to you would be in Loveland just off of Loveland Maderia road.

Although I have never been to Mason, I have been to 3 of the other Group Health offices, and have liked all but one of the doctors. (He was in Western Hills and simply REFUSED to listen to me...therefore giving my child the complete WRONG diagnosis--Said he had croop when he was having an asthma attack!! Guess I should be glad they were both respiratory? LOL) Anyways, I recommend group Health associate docs. My doc listens and takes my opinion into consideration with everything we do! I absolutely love her. But she's in Clifton.

My children are 15 and 12 and they have gone to Group Health in Mason now for as long as they can remember. We have moved several times due to my husband's job.

We see Dr Bird. He is great for my kids. They feel very comfortable around him because she jokes around with them. I feel confident in saying he is one of the best Ped's we have had.

I am a 41 year old mother of two teenager's and I have been married for 17 years. We also live in Deerfield Township.

I take my 11 year old son to Group Health Associates in Mason. He's been going there since he was five years old (when we moved here). We've always had a great experience there. His assigned pediatrician is Dr. Bird. Dr. Bird is very soft spoken and very kind. He seems very thorough in his examinations and I think he is an excellent pediatrician. When I schedule his well check ups, I schedule with his regular pediatrician, but there have been times that he's been sick and we've seen other doctors there. We've seen Dr. Krzeski, who speaks with a German accent, and is a little difficult to understand, especially for my son, but I've managed and he also is very good. My son really likes Dr. Robinson. In fact, he has requested that he go to Dr. Robinson when he goes in for his well check ups. Dr. Robinson has a very vibrant personality. He jokes with my son, and really seems to be able to have the ability to put him at ease. He is thorough in his examinations as well. I would recommend all three of these doctors. What I've noticed too, is that they all talk with my son, and they don't direct their comments just to me. They engage him in conversation during the exam about school, summer activities, his interests, etc. I guess it would depend on what type of personality you feel most comfortable with. Since your son is only 2 and my son didn't start going there until he was 5, it's difficult for me to say how they would be with a toddler, but from what I've seen of them, my guess is that they would be great. One other thing which is important to me is the office staff. Everyone I've ever dealt with there has been very friendly. I have always been able to get an appointment that same day if my son is sick, plus we've never had to wait very long once we arrive for his appointment. That can all be just as important as the choice of doctor. Good luck!!

L.,
Both my kids and myself go to GHA in Mason. I love it there. I am almost always able to get an appointment. I also like that they have a pharmacy in their office so you dont have to make any other stops. They also seem to have a close relationship with Children's (or at least my Ped does) and are always able to tell me about Drs there if I need to go to a specialist there.

The group has a whole is fantastic. Their are 5 pediatricians and I love them all. I have a 3 year old and a newborn, and I've never had a bad experience. Dr. Robinson is my very favorite. They also have an onsite pharmacy, it makes things very convenient and easy!

I don't know about Group Health Associates, but I really like Springdale Mason Pediatrics on Mason-Montgomery Rd. We have been going there for over 6 years and I've always been happy with them. We usually see a nurse practitioner named Laurie for check-ups who we love, but all the doctors we have seen there have been great.
