I do pro bono work for kids in foster care. Next week I will be taking two of my clients, ages 16 and 17, out to dinner. I need to find a restaurant in or near White Bear Lake. I don't want anything too fancy, but I definitely don't want fast food either. Any recommendations for a place that all three of us might enjoy? Ethnic foods are okay, as I think it's good to expose them to new things. Thanks!
Keys Restaurant is a good one for just yummy food (although the portion sizes are insane).
Decoy's Grill has decent food.
Ingredients is delicious but expensive.
I've heard good things about the Chocolate Spoon, but I've never been there and I think it's more like a coffee shop???

We've always had good luck at Decoy's on Hwy 61. Not ethnic, but decent food that teenagers would like.
Washington Square is a great place in downtown WBL - has a nice patio and good food at decent prices. We enjoy it every time we go!
Decoy's is okay but you can do better. Ingredients is awesome and not stuffy. There's an Indian place on Hwy. 36 (use frontage road) west good White Bear Avenue which is really good and they do a decently priced buffet lunch (and maybe dinner).
