I am looking for someone that knows anything about the remote control Thomas train engines(Plastic) and the GeoTrax. What do you like better? Toys R Us is not longer selling the Thomas Remote Control stuff but they said Wal-mart does.
I have some of the Thomas Plasic train track and accessories that I think the remote control engines could ride on. Or should I just go for the Geo-Trax. This train stuff gets so confusing for me.

My kids loved the geo-trax. I think we had one Thomas remote contol, but it didn't get used much. In my opinion, the Take-a-long Thomas were great, but I'd go with the Geo-trax for a train that moves. Good luck - pretty soon you'll know more about trains then you ever could have imagined :)
We recently bought my son a train table and Thomas train stuff. It went over well, but not as well as I thought it would. We would go to my friends house and my son would constantly play with her son's geotrax. So for Christmas I bought him some and they were a huge hit. He still plays with the Thomas stuff, mostly the trains by themselves...off the tracks, but in my opinion he seems to like the geotrax more.
We have also never owned Thomas stuff, but my kids love Geo-Trax. My son likes playing with them after Daddy builds the Grand Central Station, while my daughter's favorite part is actually building the track herself. There is so much to do with them and so many add-ons, you cannot go wrong.
Both of my kids love their Geo-Trax. I have an almost 4 year old boy and an almost 2 year old girl. In general, they are cheaper than Thomas as well.
My son likes the GeoTrax remote control engines. There are more of them, along with other accessories. They even come with little action figures. My son also loves his Thomas trains, the die cast ones. He will sit for hours playing with both. He has the entire basement filled with tracks everywhere.
