We are relocating to Columbus Ohio in a few weeks for my husbands job. Any advice on where to look for a family friendly townhouse/condo in the Easton Town Center area which is northeast of Columbus? We have a 3 yo and a 15 month old. Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the advice. We ended up at The Villas at Little Turtle in Westerville Ohio. Very quiet but family friendly and close to Easton for my husbands job. Thanks again! Now maybe I will join a mothers group in Columbus until I find a job.

I agree with not living in Easton. Ya the mall is nice, but I wouldn't want to live there. I also agree with Blacklick. My cousin lives there and it is very nice and very good schools.

Westerville is a little bit north of this area, but not too far and is very nice and good schools as well. Reynoldsburg is a hit or miss. You have some nice areas, but some are bad.

Good luck and Welcome to Ohio

I live about 15 min from Easton, but OUTside of 270. I would say the important thing is, if you are going to be here a few years, look at school districts (unless you want to worry about moving again soon.) Easton is in Columbus public schools, you definitely don't want them for your kids! But if you are willing to live just 10 min away, you have the choice of Westerville, New Albany, or Gahanna schools, all very good options! I lived in the estates of New Albany, they have townhomes there, but they are not cheap, and also lived in Fairway Lakes apts, their townhomes were more affordable. Of course, as far as customer service, you get what you pay for.

If you are not going to be here when the kids start school, there are a lot of townhomes within walking distance to Easton Towne Centre, and I think it would be perfectly fine to live in any of those :) Good luck!!

P.S. While Easton has gone downhill in the 6 years I have lived in the area, it is by no means "the Hood of Columbus," lol

My sister used to live in Blacklick which is right outside Columbus. She had a young family at the time and lived in a nice new townhome development, I can't remember the name of it. Blacklick isn't really northeast, it's just east of Columbus.

Best wishes!
