If your hubby is a handy man of any sort (or yourself), call
Adam the Answer Man. He will go over solutions with you and most of the time you can fix it yourself. We were able to fix two fridges this way. Sounds too good to be true, but it is true. He is located in Dallas.

I have used Sears service in the past, they seemed really reasonable and came out pretty fast. I don't think that you have to have bought it there, it gives you the option of picking what appliance it is and stuff. This is the only repair service I have ever used, hope it helps. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12605_NB_RequestRepai...
where are you located?
I highly reccomend In Home Appliance Repair - Jim Swann
I have used him for many different repairs over the last few years and have alway been pleased with his work and found his pricing very reasonable

Just one quick tip.....When mine stopped working I called a repair man. He came out, looked underneath and lo and behold one of the kids drawings had fallen under and was covering the fan. Because he was a friend of my grandma, he didn't charge me, but he said a large portion of his calls are the same thing and he charges them $75.00 for the house call. A year later we have still never had another problem with that fridge.
So before you call, go check!
What area are you in?
We use Joe Santos with A Affordable, very honest man his number is ###-###-#### - he fixes just about everything.
