My kids dyed their hair for crazy hair day at VBS. It washed off their hair but their scalps are red. Yuck! Does anyone have a home remedy to get it off? I found several ideas online but I don't have the time to try to figure out which one really works.

TIA!

What can I do next?

It will eventually wash off. No big deal.

Do you have any alcohol prep pads? When I got Sharpie marker all over my toddler's face my husband grabbed a prep pad and it wiped right off.

I dye my hair blue on a regular basis and without fail get some on my scalp at the part. To try to avoid the issue I put a small amount of liquid soap on all exposed skin and my part. To remove it once it is there hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip works great.

Try toothpaste with a little bit of baking soda mixed into it.

My daughter had the same thing after Halloween, only orange was her color. Another parent told us to use baby wipes to scrub her scalp & it sure did work better than anything else we tried. Good luck.
