Hi everyone! I was wondering, is there a chair out there for a toddler, that a toddler can get into and out of safely on her own, that will seat her slightly higher at the table than a regular chair? What we have is a nice dining room table but just some folding chairs, and when she sits on the folding chair the tabletop is upper chest level, too high. She's almost 3 years old and I think she should transition from her high chair (standard baby high chair with tray)... I've seen in a catalog the Euro II Grow With Me Chair. Do any of you have the chair and if so, do you like it? Can your toddler climb in and out of it safely? Do you know of any other chair suitable for a growing girl? Many Thanks! *Peace*! :)
Hi everyone and thanks so much for your ideas! I ended up getting the Safety 1st Sit, Snack and Go booster seat for $20. I attached it to my folding chair and it works, though she can't get in and out of it on her own like I was hoping she would. We have *no* dining room chairs, just folding chairs, like the kind you get for around a card table (this is why I wanted to get a complete chair at first.) The booster seat seems sturdy and lifts her to the correct height. So, it's not attractive or fancy, but my daughter seems to like it okay. Again everyone, many thanks! *Peace*! :)
Wow, the Stokke chair looks great but $250?? We used a plastic booster chair and when that wasn't working any more, she sat on a good old-fashioned Yellow Pages... Then all of a sudden they are plenty tall to sit on a regular chair and you haven't spent much money at all.

I second the Stokke high chair! It is expensive, but a good piece of furniture that will grow with her into adulthood and beyond!
We switched to the stokke high chair for my 3 yr daughter. She LOVES it! I just wish that we bought that one from the beginning. We did manage to get it a little cheaper since we bought a floor model. She can climb in and out of it on her own and you can adjust it to the height of your table and her at the same time.
WARNING: When my daughter was learning to use it, she did get a few black and blues from bumping up against the chair. It was mainly on her back because she was just trying to slide off it, but after we showed her how to slowly turn around and climb off the chair she didn't have any problems since.
I bought a booster seat when my daughter was almost 2 years old. She loved it and still uses it till this day. She can climb in and out because the one we bought buckles onto the chair so she just pulls herself up and turns around. It was also a rubbery soft material so it never hurt her back or anything. This worked for us and it was under $40.
Get a booster seat that can strap on to your regular chair. She can climb in and out of that safely.

A Kaboost http://www.kaboost.com/ is exactly what you need. It goes under your dining chair so she can be just like everyone else in a regular chair, but it raises the height of the chair. It also has a non-skid base and makes the chair very sturdy. We have used one with our son when he outgrew the highchair and he's still using it at almost 5 years. It flips over so that there are two different heights depending on what you need. A lot more budget friendly than most of the Euro style chairs as well. I cannot recommend this enough!
We got the Baby Smart Cooshee Classic Booster. It comes in a wide variety of colors, my daughter can easily climb in and out, and it has no fabric seat or buckles (in case of accidents while potty training). Very sturdy and highly recommended.
