I am looking into making a photobook for my mom for mothers day. My son is her first grandchild and a photo book each year I think would be a great keepsake.

Any recommendations or reviews on any of the sites that offer this service?

I found this link which was very helpful but I noticed it is from 2006 so I wanted to find more recent reviews as well. http://www.slate.com/id/2143039/

Thanks!

Hi P.,

I have used Shutterfly and Kodak Gallery for my photo books. Both were great but I think Shutterfly is by far the best! They have tons of layout options and you can do spell check. The Shuttefrly books to me look more creative and are more fun, especially when doing it of young ones. And Shutterfly always has specials, right now they are offering up to 30% off depending on total purchase amount.

Good luck and have fun!

I have used 3 different companies. Snapfish, Kodak Gallery and Shutterfly.

All of the books turned out great. Shutterfly is the most expensive, however, they have the most layout options. When I do a photobook, I'm doing a YEARS worth of pictures, so I want lots of layouts.

Since this is going to be a mom's day present, you probably don't need all the layouts and in that case, I would recommend Kodak Gallery. More than a photo book, I would get one of their collages. they are great! there are lots of different sizes and options and they are frameable, unlike a photobook. That's what I did for my mom last year and she loved it.

Good luck!!!

If you are looking for quality, use My Publisher. I've done shutterfly and they have a lot of choices on layouts, but the quality wasn't as nice as My Publisher

I created my first book of my daughter's first year and I used Picaboo. I didn't think it was to expensive and the quality was great. Plus they have tons of backgrounds and layouts to choose from. The website is www.picaboo.com
