after all these years of shaving my legs, i have yet to find a good razor that i like and can afford. i'm cheap when it comes to disposable razors and still expect them to last. never works out! i don't shave as often as i could (or my husband would appreciate). i have used electric before but it's not a close shave. what do you mamas prefer? any brand work better than others? i got waxed once but since it isn't permanent and i have to go to my MIL to get it done, i probably won't again. any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I haven't used anything but the Schick Intuition. I love the fact that the soap is right on the blade part! Wet my legs & off I go. Takes less time to shave so I don't mind shaving so much :)
I love the Schick Intuition. It has its own shaving cream built right in. Each cartridge lasts me a few weeks.
i love the venus razors. each razor last me 3-4 weeks.
Venus for sure! (but not the disposable Venus, I just don't like them as much for some reason.) It's also important to have a good shaving cream/gel. I love Kiss My Face. It's sort of a gel, very slippery, razor just glides along and you don't need much at all. Gives a really close shave in combo w/ the Venus. I agree that they are pricey, but I can get many, many shaves out of one blade.

Good razor- venus- or any of that line. They really are smoothing. Depending on your growth-- 1day to 1.5 days good before stubble.
You might want to look into laser removal. I did 85% off on a groupon or crowdcut or the like deal-- waist down-- for around 300-500 total and it's permanent. Only good things to say about it for the time and $ invested- so does SO.

venus i am cheap too but once in a while on a few things you have to splurge. if i shave with anything other than venus my legs itch real bad after shaving i dont get that with venus. and i shave my legs more now
I like Venus too... In my mind, you may spend more up front for the blades... but they last twice as long. So it's worth it. :)
I'm not a huge fan of the Venus -- I haven't had the luck with them lasting for the $$ that some other ladies have. I have pretty thick, fast-growing hair, and I use the Bic Comfort 3. I don't think they make it for ladies anymore, so I buy the Men's. They're only $3-$4 for 4 of them and I've had good luck with them lasting for a while:)

I have used the Venus razors for years. They have been the only ones I've liked!
I purchase the Store brand razors with the 3 blades,
I also find that Nair works great.. I just hate waiting around for the minute to tick by..
