Rainbow Vacuum Repair

My very expensive rainbow vacuum lost it's suction. We've cleaned the two things the manuel said to clean, and still no luck. Anyone had one fixed, and if so could you tell me about how much it cost? I'm dropping it off at Han's sewing and vacuum tomorrow, but will not get an estimate for at least a week. Just wondering if I should be shopping for a new vacuum! Thanks Mamas!

What can I do next?

Know idea what it will cost but I bet it will be worth the repair. We had a 15 year old one that worked great for 8 years (only needed a new one because we couldn't get a replacement beater brush). They let us keep the old one but they gave us a trade in anyway toward the new one. They both still work. Did you check the hose? The new one we have had now for 6 years, works great. The old one we use more like a wet dry vac.
Good luck,
S.

It's worth repairing. I've had mine repaired once....my Mom bought it in 1978. To my knowledge she never had it repaired.

You should contact Airflow and Associates. That's who I bought my rainbow from. Is it the vacuum part? Did you open up the bottom and remove the stuff that might be clogging it? I have had mine for almost 10 years and the only time that happens is when there is stuff blocking the "vaccuum" part or the hose.

Check BBB, the Better Business Bureau. That may give you an indication as to when it will be fixed. Good luck.
