I stopped breastfeeding three months ago but my periods have not yet returned. Is that normal?

What can I do next?

everyone is different. With my first daughter, it took 5 months AFTER I stopped breastfeeding for it to return, but with the new baby, I am still breastfeeding and I started period when she was 5 months old, so it can happen any time. Don't worry about it. Your hormones are adjusting.

sometimes it can be normal especially since your hormones are out of whack from the baby. Check with your OB/GYN.

I think it all depends on the women. Mine didn't come back until 6 months after I quit breastfedding my last girl. Once it did come back it lasted almost two weeks and was very heavy. My doctor said it was normal because I haven't had a period for over 2 years. That your body is just trying to get back to normal and it takes time.

I quit when my daughter turned one year and its been a month and still nothing...very weird feeling isn't it? I thnk it is normal for it to take a few months. Have you talked to your doctor?
