What is a quiet book? And what does sewing have to do with it? Wish I could help but I don't have any idea what you are talking about.
Hi Ladies,
I am looking for a quiet book for my 10 month old daughter. I want one that doesn't have seperate pieces that can be taken out or lost. I don't sew a lot, so I will probably want to just buy one unless it is really simple to sew. I love the old homemade ones that have the zippers, shoe laces, etc. Thanks for your help.

I found this website for you. http://www.sugarplumdreams.com/cloth-books.html#top. You will have to copy and then paste. Also, the author Roger Priddy has some cloth books at Amazon.com. The prices are $8.95 which are more reasonable than the other websites. I ordered a few for my daughters too. The one called My Quiet Book is the one with zippers and shoe laces. It was also at Amazon but they ran out. However, ToysRus has them online for $25. I think it was cool. It is a little pricey for me right now. So, we will have to wait a bit for that one. Goood luck and thanks for asking the question.
There is one called MY Quiet Book by SmileKids. It is made in Vietnam, I am not sure if it available here, you can search online for it?

Try Storytime Felts. I think there website is www.storytimefelts.com, but I'm not sure. You can probably google it.
This reponse is for Kathy. A quiet book or busy book is usually a fabric book that you bring out when you need the child to be quiet (such as at church or the Dr.'s office). They have things for the child to practice different skills, balloons for colors, snaps, zippers, a shoe with shoelaces so they can learn to tie their shoes, etc. Because so many are made with fabric, they can be sewn easily.
I am interested to see the responses because I would like one too and don't have time to design my own.
Hi Tonya,
We have one and my son loves it!! The only one that I have ever found was at mybusybook.com. There is only one on there, and it does have a lot of pieces. Maybe you could take the pieces that detach out of the book?? Anyway, it's great!! Good luck and God Bless!!
