Question Regarding Cool Mist Humidifiers

we have a vornado that I bought at Bed Bath and BEyond and we LOVE it. It is whisper quiet, circulates the humidity through out the room, and it allows you to choose the correct humidity level for the room. It is a little pricy so make sure you bring a 20 percent off coupon. BEfore we had this one, we had one of the cute crane animal machines but it got really gross with mold very quickly so we got rid of it. Hope this helps!

We have the Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier and haven't had any trouble with it. We always keep a large baking pan underneath it just in case because we have wood laminate floors that would warp if exposed to water. You have to clean the warm mist humidifiers often to prevent bacteria growth and keep them a bit of a distance away from sleeping kids, but we have found that when my little guy is sick it does an awesome job. I hope you find something that works for you!

does it have a hairline crack in it? I have a Honeywell quiet care for 900 spare feet that sits in the hallway it gets all the bedrooms. It is little pricey but it was cheaper then putting one in each bedroom. Hope this helps.

I use the same one. Have you tried putting a plastic tray underneath it?

i have that same humidifier & i hate it! same deal, it makes a mess. let me know what u come up with.

We have the vicks cool mist ...invisible mist..has never made the floor wet or anything else...we have 3 of them in use. Maybe it is too hot in the room? We keep our heat at 64??? Maybe that would not a make a difference?

Did you read the instructions as far as locations to put it? I just noticed mine needs to be on a hard surface as the vent can get covered if set on the carpet. Just a thought.

Sounds like you have it blowing too hard. If that is the case, you want to make sure that it is blowing moisture into the air, but not visibly falling.
