You can find greek yogurt everywhere. I buy it at Kroger, so any grocery store just next to where you find the regular yogurt..... Each yogurt can/may have different amount of sugar, it is good to read the label. During my 2nd pregnancy I had Gestational Diabetes and I was able to consume 30g of carbs per meal as my Nutritionist recomendations, it is important that the carbs come more from fiber than sugars. You will find the information on the labels.
Hope that helps.

My mom is diabetic, so maybe I can answer... Yogurt does have a lot of sugar. There used to be a low carb variety on the market but since fizzled out with the rest of the low carb phase foods. As far as greek yogurt, you can find it all over now, Target, Wal-mart etc.. Just watch the labels for added sugars though. You are best off culturing your own yogurt (youtube has lots of videos on how to do this) and adding some flavored agave syrups to them, this is what my mom does. However, if you have a Whole Foods nearby, they have ready made container yogurts made from cultured almond milk and my mom will eat those every now and again.

What you need to do is, check for the "glycemic index" of foods.
They have tons of Glycemic Index charts, online.
My late Dad was Diabetic. This is what we/he had to do.
AND seeing a Nutritionist... which he was referred to by his Primary Care Physician. But he also had a Diabetes Doctor.

Also, an apple eaten in conjunction with a cup of milk for example, is called 'combination eating' and improves the sugar breakdown of foods.

Yogurt as a whole, has a low glycemic index.
Tomatoes too, probably.
