my daughter's "2 year" molars didn't come in until just before she was 3. she was late to get all her teeth. I have a chart that says they come in between 2-4 years. i think the name "2 year" molars is because that is the norm or average.
My son who is 3 (born June 17, 2007) just had a dentist appt and they are concerned b/c he top 2 2 year old molars are not in yet. They are not even showing any signs of coming in. He does have some problems with his teeth such as no enamel and all his front ones are chipped but other then that he hasn't had any troubles with his teeth coming in. He has had the bottom 2 in for awhile now I think he got those around the time he turned 2. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this. They did do an x-ray to make sure the teeth were there and they are. They are just going to keep an eye on them for now.

My daughter was born may 22 2007- when she went to her 3 year they noticed that they were not coming in either. I was not worried and neither was the dr. She got them in July/ Aug- so no big deal is what I think.

My son was slow in getting his teeth also. Didn't lose his first tooth until the 2nd grade then lost three at once. Funny, both my boys had a malformation of the enamel as well and had horrible cavity issues. : ( Good your dentist is keeping an eye on things.
My son will be 3 in January and just saw the dentist a couple weeks ago. Two of his molars are not in yet and not showing signs of coming in either. The dentist did not show any concern about this and said some kids just get theirs in later. All of my kids have been on the late side in getting their teeth so we are not worried.
