We are having my daughter's 4th birthday party, and it's a pretend puppy party. One of the games is for the kids to pretend they are puppies by drinking from a new doggy bowl all of the contents. I'm thinking about putting a scoop of punch into each bowl, but I need an EASY punch recipe with ingrediets that will easily come off of clothes.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all so much for your help with this. The party was Saturday and I think it was a HUGE success. We made the punch, but used it for drinking, and used the "puppy chow" for the kids to stick their faces into. Much less messy, and just as effective. With over 20 kids, we were able to keep spillage to a minimum. Thanks again!

Two easy ones are: raspberry sherbert/7-UP and/or Hawaiin Punch/7-UP. Also you could pick up those disposable bibs to use just for this and then their clothes will be more protected. Good Luck!

Don't use anything red-it will stain all it touches(people, rugs, clothes, pets) use sherbet a soft color, it foams neat and tastes great- mix with a seven up type drink (go light for the kids) and then an orange juice is good. try it you may want to add some sugar stuff if it is too tart. Have fun!

I don't know about a liquid. I would make that "Puppy Chow" recipe with the Chex Mix, chocolate, peanut butter (optional), regular butter, and powdered sugar. Or even just a cereal, like Cocoa Puffs. I don't think a liquid would be a good idea. They might be too small for that. It might even take forever or they might get it in their nose or something like that. Plus it's hard to say who's bowl is 'dryer' than another.

I think the whole theme would be Great Fun for 4 yr olds!!!
Good Luck!

Lime Sherbert and Sprite.
Old family favorite that I actually hadn't thought of in years until I saw your request! :)

I'm sure this suggestion is a color disaster for what you're wanting to do, but I make this punch every Halloween & it is a HUGE hit with everyone, even adults who choose it over liquor. Equal parts (red)fruit punch, squirt soda & orange juice (no pulp kind). I just eyeball it, so I don't have exact measurements. Mix all three together and add ice. Yummy!!

the kids in our family regularly chose punch for family parties: we always use ginger ale (for the fizzy) combined with the fruit juice of their choice. Sometimes as simple as Hi-C or Hawaiin Punch mixed with the ginger ale! You can also add pineapple juice to the combo, too.

Someone suggested lemonaide...how about sugar free lemonaide and some strawberry sherbert. Kind of like a strawberry lemonaide. I was thinking maybe using the SF lemonaide to cut out some of the sugar since they will have cake also, didn't think you'd want them bouncing off the walls. Maybe even add some SF sprite, 7-up or gingerale. Good luck and God Bless.

sherbert with 7-up is about the easiest or you can put 7-up in the canned or bottled drinks with ice depending on the flavor(color) it will clean up easily.

What about the invisable Kool Aide? Puppies do not drink punch and this Kool Aide looks just like water only it taste just like the real stuff. You can make it with Splenda if you are worried about the sugar/calories. I would not use diet soda for any one under 15 unless the child's doctor says that it is ok. My children's doctor says that Splenda every so often is fine but no diet or sugar free stuff unless it is made with Splenda.
Just a thought that if the girls are acting like puppies they might like drinking clear punch instead of a colored punch.

Well, this isn't punch but have you thought about the color free Kool Aid? I'm guessing more if it will end up on the floor and it would be an easy drink to make, plus no staining!
Good luck with your party.

Sounds like you got some good punch ideas. So I wont go there .
What I didn’t see was have the kids to bring a old T shirt to put on while they are lapping up the punch. That way it wont get on there good cloths and they will stay clean at least… Good luck and have fun with the party.

An easy and inexpensive punch is any flavor sherbet (I prefer Rasberry) with white soda or gingerale poured over it and stir it. It is also delicious! The puppies will lap it up!

What about just using some lemonade? You could even use pink lemonade, if your daughter is partial to pink. That would be very easy and would come out of clothes easier than any punch I can think of!

We just made some punch for a wedding, we used some can fruit juice, this time peach and 7up. Was really good. We used two parts of juice to one part of 7up. One of the receipes we found said one to one, but wasn't very good, we found 2 to one was much better. Can use Sherbet also with it. We also in finding one to use, we tried 1 can concord grape juice to one can with grape juice and 1 bottle 7up to add some color. Can go on line and google Punch and get some interesting ones.

We've always done sprite (or 7-up) with some kind of sherbert flavor, marchino cherries, and Hi-C Fruit Punch, or Hawaiian Punch... Any flavor of fruit juice really...

Being 25 I always get excited when it's party time, for me or my kids, because I serve MY favorite punch. It's some type of premade punch (Tropicana or Hawaiian Punch) with a lemon-lime soda (I use about a liter of each) and then put about a 16 oz tub of your favorite sherbet! So yummy!

I was at a meeting one time where a lady poured white grape juice with 7-up. (You could use diet to avoid some sugar). It was pretty good.
