So What Happened?

We went to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch, and my kids (2.5 and 4.5) had a ball. Thanks for the suggestions!

I'll 2nd Hall's in Grapevine. They have a $2 hay ride (we didn't do it, but it looked fun) and a $5 corn maze for bigger kids, but other than that it is completely free!

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch is awesome. Totally worth the short drive. I live in Carrollton also. I always get my best pictures of the year out there and there are lots of things for the kids all included in the $5 per car entry fee. Here is the website.

I agree.. FM Pumpkin Patch is the wonderful! They're on the west side, or second entrance on 1171 if you're coming from Carrollton (there are 2 right next door to each other). This is the first year that they're charging $5 per car to park, but all the rest of the activities are free - and totally worth the $5 for your family: http://familyeguide.com/Flower-Mound-Pumpkin-Patch.html

FM Pumpkin Village is on the east side, or 1st entrance on 1171 if you're coming from Carrollton. They're also a lot of fun! They have a number of small rides and activities that you can pay for individually (carosel, pony rides, etc.) but there's a deal going right now that helps: Pay $8 and get $20 to spend: http://bit.ly/FM_PumpkinPatch. Here's a list of what things cost: http://familyeguide.com/Flower-Mound-Pumpkin-Village.html

We're going to try Hall's Pumpkin Farm this year in Grapevine. My kids are 10 & 12, so they've kind of outgrown the pumpkin patches above. Hall's is supposed to have a 2-acre pumpkin maze that you can go through after dark with flashlights, and I think my kids will love that. Of course, they have lot's of other things for little ones as well: http://familyeguide.com/Halls-Pumpkin-Farm.html

Make a note for next year to see Pumpkin Express in Argyle (they're closed this year because of a water main the town is putting in across their property). It's also supposed to be a lot of fun! http://familyeguide.com/Pumpkin-Express-Argyle.html

Have fun!

Big Orange Pumpkin Patch in Celina was nice. It's $7 per person and children 2yrs. & under are free. This one is great for younger kiddos. There is not a ton to do but enough to stay for an hour or two. They have a petting zoo where children can feed goats, sheep and cows. There are also hay rides, little train rides and a concession stand cooking hotdogs. There are several nice background settings there to take a family pic. We like Flower Mound patch too (especially for the bounce house). In comparison to FM this one in Celina felt more quaint. We like them all!
