Does anyone know where a good pumpkin patch is in the Plano/Frisco area? I want to take my kids next weekend for pictures and to pick out pumpkins. We used to go to one off of 121, but I noticed they are not there this year.

Thanks

What can I do next?

Hey L.,
I just took my kids out to a fabulous pumpkin patch in Celina. It is on Bill Bates Ranch right in the front. We had such a great time there. We got to feed sheep, goats, cows, see baby chicks and play with kittens. We also took in a hay ride that went around a little pond. They also have a small barrel ride where the kids sit in barrels and pulled by a tiny John Deere Tractor ( similar to a train ride). We also had several areas that we could take pictures with hay abound, pumpkins and just cute decor such as a chuck wagon, old fire engine, in front of a wind mill and some neat painted scenes.
Here is a link to the site.

We first thought the price was very steep but after got there and saw what we could do, it really wasn't. We got great pictures of the kids with pumpkins and they enjoyed feeding the animals, especially the mama cow with horns. On weekdays it is 6 dollars with a free pumpkin, on weekends it is 6 dollars plus a free hot dog. They also have snacks which are very cheap. It wasn't too far away for us. Let me know if you went. :)

Yes, the Pumpkin Patch in Celina is good, but we plan to visit our favorite one in Richardson at Owens Spring Creek Farms! It is a little bigger for kids to be able to roam around and play! It is $5.00 per person and children 2 and under are free! Check out the www.owensfoods.com to find out more details! WE are going on Wednesday and can't wait! This one is really close compared to Celina. You also get to feed the animals and do a hayride as well.

Enjoy!

L.,

The pumpkin farm that used to be on 121/Custer-ish area has moved to Fairview area (75/Ridgeview on the east side of 75) - it's by the place that sells the wooden swing sets.

Also, the recomendation of big orange pumpkin farm is a good one!

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch is AWESOME and it's free unless you want to purchase a pumpkin.

I know it's not in Frisco / Plano area but the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound is a great place to take pics. You can visit their website at www.flowermoundpumpkinpatch.com

They have hay rides, concessions, bounce houses, etc. Everything is free except for the pumpkins. We really enjoyed going and got some great pics of our children. I think it was definately worth the trip.
