Have you ever heard of the Kempe Center? They are located at the Children's Hospital and have wonderful staff. I was diagnosed with ppd just over a year ago. I couldn't have gotten through it without them. You can reach them at ###-###-####
I'm looking for a recommendation for a Psychiatrist who deals with family issues/postpartum depression. I hate to just pick randomly off the list. If you have any experience with any of the following, please let me know. Thank you!
Brian Wise
Gregory Wilets
Daniel Hoffman
Howard Entin

She's not on your list, but I highly recommend Diane Dean. She's at Evans & Oneida and her phone number is ###-###-####. Sorry you're going through a tough time--I've been there and it does get better. Good luck!
The Kemp Center here in Denver is one of the greatest resources for mom's having some post partum things. Reach out to them, call them and they will help you alot. If you want you can call me to chat about this, I am a postpartum doula and I am available anytime. ###-###-####
In addition to the Kempe Center, I also recommend
Karen Horst, MD (has training as both an OB and psychiatrist, Arvada): ###-###-####
Hershey Sollod, MD (Aurora) ###-###-####
Nancy Bakalar, MD (Highlands Ranch) ###-###-####
If you are looking for meds, a psychiatrist is the way to go. If you are looking for psychotherapy, consider finding a therapist with training in working with moms with PPD.
Best of luck!
Jen
I havent heard of the above doctors but I see Dr. Linda Tobey and she is very good. She has an office in her home in Littleton and one near the Capital by the Molly Brown house; downtown Denver. She is a Mom herself and has delt with her own issues and issues of raising a very spirited child.
Here is her phone number: ###-###-####

The Kempe Center is the most amazing asset a mom with PPD can ever have. I was diagnosed with severe PPD 2 years ago after my daughter was born and they literally saved my lifem my realtionship with my baby and my marriage. Call them! There is no other program in the country like it and it was awesome. I met some of the most amazing women there and we are still friends to this day.
