This is going to sound TOTALLY bizarre, but I have an Amega wand and use it on my hands and feet and they now look "normal" again!!! No creams, no steroids. Listen to www.listentothisfirst.net and then if you want, contact me.
I went to a Dermatologist about 3 weeks ago and found that my entire body was covered with Psoriasis. I have never had this before. The creams that he gave me have cleared up most of it all over my body but I still have it on my hands & feet. I am seeing some improvement with the creams. Here is my question. The steroid cream he gave me is only to be used morning & night, however during the day it becomes very itchy and irritable to the point I'm about to jump out of my skin. Does anyone know of a cream that I could use during the day that might help? This is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance

My husband has severe psoriasis and is on several strong medications for it (has been for years). He found that using (in addition to the prescribed creams, etc) Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream really helped cut down on the itchiness! His dermatologist ok'd it after checking things out and now his psoriasis is more under control than ever before.......
are you comfortable buying online at all? i buy all of my cleaning and body care stuff online because it is more gentle and naturally based. i havent personally tried it yet, but i know that they have a whole line of stuff for dry skin, including a hand wash so you arent washing the lotion of and drying out your skin when you wash them. they also have a lotion, bath oil, and body wash that are all supposed to great for dry skin conditions. i dont know if that is something would like at all. but feel free to message me and i will give you all their info if you want.
if you will email ____@____.com and put "psoriasis info from mamasource" in the subject line, I have some good information to share with you - i've helped many people find very inexpensive, but effective relief to this.

we use protopic on my daughter
I use a baby line for my son who has had eczema since birth, keeps him from breaking out as long as it's used weekly. The same company has a skin conditioning oil that they highly recommend for psoriasis. If you would like I can give you my consultant's information, they also have a 45 day money back guarantee in case it does not work for you. She uses two products and has cleared her skin lupus up completely! I would not have believed it had I not seen it. All natural botanical based products, no mineral oil or animal oils. my email is ____@____.com Good luck and hope this helps!
Hydrocortisone cream or Benadryl cream should help, but check with the Dr. first to make sure they don't affect your regular meds.
Would you consider going to a naturopathic doctor? My huband's uncle had psoriasis for years. After cutting out certain foods and doing a cleanse of all the toxins in his body, it cleared up completely. Amazing!
Renew products...lotion, oil, body wash. All are great for skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. You may be having a reaction to your personal care products and/or laundry products.
I am all about finding the cause of the problem not only the treatment of the symptom. if you figure out what is causing it and can fix that then the flair ups should be less frequent. good luck .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psoriasis
you could also ask a health food store some questions. the kind that sell all the oils will help too. even if you dont buy the oils they can ususally figure out the cause of the symptom (psoriasis)
I second Renew. It is amazing and I have seen many testimonials regarding how it has cleared psoriasis, exzema and other dry skin conditions. Truly and incredible lotion. I use it for our son's severe dry hand problems and he is ok with using it at school around friends as it does not have that "girly" smell. Where is Willis?
Tea Tree Therapy Antiseptic Cream (White plastic bottle with a leaf on it) found at Sun Harvest/Henrys, HEB Central Market. My husband also needed something during the day. It runs about $8.00.
Have you tried Gold Bond Medicated Lotion?
