I'm very interested in the answers you receive.
A little about me - grandmother to two boys - one 3 yrs. old and the other 2 mos.
I'm trying to get product reviews for *LeapFrog ClickStart and *Fisher-Price Fun 2 Learn Computer. Both are for 3-6 year olds and about the same price. What do you think? Is age 3-6 accurate? Are they easy to use?

My granddaughter is four and has had the Leapfrog clickstart since she was three. She loves it! She already knew how to use a mouse and keyboard from the family computer, which was a plus as I think the mouse on the clickstart is somewhat tricky to get a "feel" for, but the games are great, and so educational. You just need to have a variety of game cartridges to prevent boredom. This was actually a lifesaver, as it gave the family their computer back, and gave the nickjr.com gamessite a break!!
K.,
We have the Leapfrog Clickstart and LOVE IT! I bought it because, I do a lot of work on my computer so my now 4 year old and 18 month old were constantly wanting to play on Mommy's computer! UGH! My 4 year old loves it! And it is durable enough to withstand my 18 month old pounding away on it as well! (Yes, they take turns!) :-)
It is super easy to use, you would have to purchase some of the older games to make it challenging for a 6 year old, but my nephew who is 6 enjoyed playing on it when he was here over the summer.
I would highly recommend the clickstart! Best wishes. J.
We have the click start and love it. We got it when my daughter was a little over 2. she loved playing with it but needed help with the mouse and understanding the directions, but now at 3 she is a wiz at it. she occasssionaly gets frustrated, but it is well worth it.
I can't say about these 2. But I can say don't use the V-Tech lap pad that hooks up to the computer. It's the one that is supposed to be easy for all kids to use the computer and works with or without the computer.
I have RARELY been able to get it to work through the computer and have had to uninstall, re-install, change the order it's plugged in and the program is opened. Nothing works consistently at all.

Hi, my son loves the hand held leapfrog with the pencil attached that you can put the game in and take it anywhere with you. I have to say that was the greatest toy I have ever purchased.
Hi K. - we have the Click Start. Santa brought it for my 3 year old. She loves it. She struggles sometimes with the mouse and when we started she didn't know very many letters so she mostly just clicked and typed for fun. She has started learning more now and has gotten to where she can play some of the games. I think it is a great learning tool. It depends a lot on what your childs abilities are. I work with her on her alphabet and stuff and this is just another way to help her. Hope that helps.

we have the fun to learn computer and kiddo loves it, she is 3 and find fun things she can already do as well as games that will teach her. Havent checked out the older disks yet so cant really say if it would continue to be fun yet challenging as she gets older.
Leap-frog, definitely.
Hi K.,
My son has a ClickStart and loves it. He is turning 4 this week and has had it for about 6 months. It is easy to use and he is able to play all the games by himself. It has two levels of play so that it can challenge them no matter what their age.
Good luck with your decision!
