Does anyone have any information on Primrose daycare in Highland Village? I will be starting my 3 1/2 month old baby there in June. I am very nervous about leaving him so young and was curious if anyone could share their experiences (good or bad) with this facility (particularly with the infant care).

What can I do next?

I wish I could give you some positive feedback, however, when I enrolled my son there (in the 3yr. old class), I thought that everything was great! The people seemed friendly and the curriculum seemed decent for a 3 year old class...however about 6 months later, after my son continually expressed not wanting go to school, I begin to have a different feeling. I just thought he was being a clingy child, but after pulling him out of that school and enrolling him elsewhere, he LOVED school. So I'm not exactly sure what they were saying and/or doing there, but he hated going to school there...and to put the icing on the cake, when I withdrew him from the school, the response from the "administrators" was awwwwww man, the teachers are gonna miss seeing my husband because they thought he was so nice looking. One would think that they would've expressed their remorse for missing my son, but no, it was my husband that they were sad to see leave. This is just my experience, hopefully someone else has a more positive one to offer. Oh, and one last thing...While he was there for the 9 months, he had about 6 different teachers. There was no consistancy, and no explaination after the teachers left...all I knew was that there was a new teacher in my childs classroom every couple months and no one could explain what was going on around there. I don't know where you live, but you might want to consider North Star Academy in Lantana for child care...they are EXCELLENT!

My daughter is 3 yrs. old, and has been going to Primrose in Highland Village for about a year and a half. So, I don't have direct experience with the infant care. But, I will caution you about the high turnover of teachers and lack of communication at this school. The only reason we have kept my daughter there this long is because SHE is very happy there, and she seems to be learning a lot. But, she's probably had 10 different teachers in the time she's been there, and they don't communicate properly with us regarding teacher turnover, special events, and my daughter's progress. We are looking at other preschool/daycare options now because I've talked to the director and owner several times about my concerns, but nothing really changes. I wish I could have given you a glowing review to put your mind at ease...I know how difficult the child care decision can be, especially at that young age. Good luck!

My brothers girlfriend works there, not in the infant room usually, but she has been in every room at some point, so I will ask her what she thinks about the infant care givers specifically. I hear that it is one of the best as far as daycares go, but I dont have any personal experience with that Primrose. I worked at one in my area for a few weeks, but quit when I saw some things that the owner did that I strongly disagreed with!! I know it is a VERY academically based school, so if that is what you are concerned with eventually, then it could be a great match. I will PM you if I get any information from her. Take care, and best of luck with the upcoming transition! I hope all goes well for you and your son! ~A.~

My daughter goes to the Primrose in Bedford now. When I started her out at another school we had a few problems with the infant room. She was also 3 months old when we started her there. Make sure if you have any problems AT ALL you talk to the teacher and director. If they don't fix them right then, pull her out and take her somewhere else. She just started Primrose and she is 2 but I know she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!!! She is 2 now and like I said, she loves to go to school.
