Prevacid

I have had to take prescription antacids with all three of my pregancys. I can't remember if it was with my 1st or 2nd that I took prevacid but both of my children are perfectly fine. I would definately try it.

I took it while pregnant with baby #2. He arrived safe and healthy. Prevacid is in a safe category to take while pregnant. Good luck!

Are you in to any kind of natural or alternative things? If so maybe I could help if you tell me what he is giving it to you for? There are many herbal and food alternatives to harmful drugs. J.

A little about me. I live on 11 acres with my husband who is a truck driver and my 11 year old great neice. I love my animals and growing things and herbal medicine...which I have been into for many years.

I didn't take Prevacid but I did take Prilosec the whole time I was pregnant. I know that nervous feeling you're having but it will go away when your stomach starts feeling better. They also give Prevacid to infants so I can't imagine it will be bad for the baby now.

I took it with my second pregnancy. I had such bad acid reflux, that when I got on this medicine, it helped so much. It is totally safe. My kid turned out just fine, other than the fact he was born at home unplanned....of course the medicine had nothing to do with that. LOL I wouldnt worry...Good Luck!

I took it at the end of my pregnancy. I had no problems with it and it worked quickly. My daughter is now 4 and the most healthy kid I know.

having been a nursery nurse, before retiring, I would say no. However, the best thing to do is ask your doctor.J.

I just wanted to let you know that I took Nexium (just like Prevacid) throughout my entire pregnancy and everything was just fine. I also felt nervous as well at first but I also had many friends that took these types of meds throughout several pregnancies without issue.

I know have a healthy and happy 9 month old:)

I had been taking Nexium (similar to Prevacid) througout for years and continued it during my pregnancy. I had virtually no heartburn, and for someone who had dealt with it way too much even not pregnant, this was wonderful! My doctor said she even sometimes puts people on Prevacid or similar during pregnancy. Good luck!

I did not take it pregnant, but my baby was put on it at 4 months of age for reflux...

Yes, I took it the entire 9 months of pregnancy with 2 pregnancies..it is safe to take for heartburn

I did and it was such a relief! Unfortunately I never thought to complain about my CONSTANT heartburn until the end of my 2nd pregnancy. When I took the Prevacid I couldn't believe how much better I felt. Wish I'd have spoken up a lot sooner! Good luck!

I didn't take Prevacid when I was pregnant,but I did take Alavert for my allergies-had to my allergies were killer during that time-hormones.
If you have a reflux problem then keep it up with the Prevacid,if its morning sickness or other stomach stuff then try alternative methods.
Saltine crackers and milk,un-buttered toast,bread soaked in milk(kind of like dunking cookies-this one tastes a little weird but it worked for me)

I took it almost daily, & I nor my had any problems.

I didn't take Prevacid, but I took Protonix, which is an acid medicine also. I never had any problems and it's completely safe for the baby. Your doctor wouldn't let you take something that would harm your baby. Don't be nervous, it's really OK.

I didn't take Prevacid when I was pregnant but my 1 1/2 month old daughter had to take it because of bad acid reflux. She is fine, I assume it shoudl be alright for you during pregnancy.

I took it almost daily with both girls. Neither had any problems. I ended up on Nexium at the end because the heartburn got so bad I couldn't sleep.

I took Zantac 75--no problems at all. I would take it if you need to. GOod Luck!
