Hi, What are some good gifts to give preschool teachers? My son only attends 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hrs and has 4 teachers so I would be getting them all the same thing. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

My daughter is in the same situatin but with 2 teachers-we are being crafty. We covered 2 old coffee cans (because Mommy drinks a lot of coffee!) with construction paper that she colored and decorated and we will be filling with cookies she makes with Daddy. It was a fun project. Good luck-

I've answered these questions before, but I just want to add that gift cards from Target or a local school supply store or a nice restaurant are much more appreciated than "things."

I have a friend who taught pre-school and then 1st grade for probably the last 30 years. She has an entire room in her basement filled with the "things" kids have given her over the years. She has enough mugs to start her own store.... candles too.

She really appreciated the gift cards to school supply stores because she always spent her own money on the classroom and that helped her save some of her money.

My daughter has 2 teachers and attends 2 mornings/week, so we're making them each a Santa head decoration. It's something made with love and care, she can help with, but not super expensive or just a standard gift card. Homemade gifts for teachers are great!

My ideas,

Lottery tickets- scratch off ones
Gift card to Wall-mart, Target. etc..

Some of the other things listed sometimes the just get too much. How many cookies, etc can they really eat.

I know that they spend a lot of thier own money on the kids in the classroom so that would be a way to replenish..

Merry Christmas.

A candle; the ones in the glass jars or tins make great gifts and are very inexpensive. "Yankee Candles" in the mall usually has great sales this time of year. I was an assistant teacher for many years and I never got tired of candles.

Good luck!

I actually bake for my teacher's. People love my banana bread so I bake that and put it in a festive wrapping and viola, there's the gift! A asked one of the teacher's if she'd rather something different and she told me no, she craves the bread.

Whatever you give, the teacher's will be excited and appreciative!

When I was teaching, my two favorites: card to her favorite coffee shop (starbucks or peets) OR a gift card to a bookstore. Teaching preschool, I was/am always finding new books that would be great for me or the kids.

Ditto Bobbi regarding the 'things'-- although I have to say, I do treasure the ornaments the kids have made and given me over the years. If it's something small and personal from them, it's sweet. I love remembering each child... sentimental, I guess!

Oh, and stay away from scented anything. Many of us are allergic or just can't stand them. :)

The first year of Preschool I gave the teacher hand sanitizer from Bath and Body. The next years I gave them gift cards to starbucks. There was a starbucks in front of the school her teachers loved it.

A craft? An ornament with his picture? Food? Maybe a large gift basket for all the staff? Cups with food/candy in them?

My mom teaches littles and she likes those kinds of things.
