I am looking for some recommendations for Preschools for 2009-2010. I know it is pretty early, but I am a bit nervous about the whole situation. I am really wanting a great preschool with a good curriculum that will challenge my son, but not overwhelm him! He will be 3 at the time. Another factor that plays heavily into my decision is my daughter who will be almost a year and half. I really am not wanting to send her to a huge preschool, but with timing and work I don't think I can keep them in seperate places. I am really hoping to find a preschool that has a lot of teacher stability and consistency. We live in West Richardson and I teach in South Plano. I would greatly appreciate any advice you could send my way!

What can I do next?

I don't know if this will work for you but I have both of my sons at Campbell Christian. It is the most amazing school! It is ran by a mother and daughter so teacher turnover is next to none! They only take kids starting at 3. They go short hours 8:30-10. But the results are amazing. My 3 year old is starting to read. He can write all his numbers and is working on addition. My 5 year old can say the 10 Commandments word for word, he is reading at least at a 3rd grade level, he can add, subtract, and is working on his times. If you want any more info let me know or you can check out there website.
Good luck

J.,
It's not too early to start looking. Most MDO/Preschools begin registration for the next school year in February. Both of my children graduated from Cross Bend Christian Academy, and they were well prepared for Kindergarten. They were also very happy and loved at CBCA. My daughter (in third grade) still talks about her threes teacher! The school has been offering classes over 20 years. The teachers are degreed and have years of experience. Teacher student ratios are better than state standards, and it feels like joining a family. The school is at Alma and Cross Bend just north of Parker Rd. Check out their website: academy.crossbend.org.

Best of luck to you as you search for just the right place.

Hey J.!

You HAVE to go take a tour of Primrose. The two that I have a relationship with are both in Plano. One is at Hedgcoxe and Coit and the other is Springcreek and Coit. Here is the web-sites:

The same family owns both of these schools. They really take care of the community, and they run these schools just like you described. I think they also give discounts for multi child enrollment and and additional discount for teachers! So you would have a WIN-WIN-WIN! They are smaller and are known for the curriculium. Both are 5 star rated, and just awesome!

Go check them out, I think you will be very impressed!

Good Luck!

First United Methodist in Richardson (Off of 75 inbetween Arapaho and Beltline on the West side). The director Marcia Lucido I have known since I was a baby. I live in McKinney so I couldn't take my son there. It is a great school, reasonably priced, very loving environment! I was worried because we are Catholic, but it doesn't matter because they do not focus on religion.
