Hi! I just moved to Florida and I am completely lost to this area. I am first looking for prenatal classes for myself. I am 24 weeks pregnant.
ANd I am looking for some information on school or classes for my 3 1/2 old. In Chicago we had community park district that had classes for kids. Here I find only places like Gymborre and such. Her birthday in at the end of Sept. so I don't know if she could even get into pre school yet. Any advice would be helpful. I'm sure I'll be asking for more help as time goes by! :) Thanks!!

I am a certified instructor with Music with Mar. and we have fun, interactive music and movement classes throughout the community for ages 0-6. Classes do not teach music, but use music to teach basic developmental skills (social, motor, language). Prices are per family, not per child! Hi Colleen! My friend owns Tree Frog Yoga. It's on 54 I believe. Her name is Michele, and they offer prenatal yoga. In fact, she was pregnant when I started taking regular yoga classes there & she was amazing! That was over a year ago though, but I believe she still offers prenatal. There's also a Gymboree next door to her studio. Check out their website, I believe you can type in www.treefrogyoga.com.
I am not sure of classes for certain age groups, but check out Museum of Science & Industry, Lowry Park Zoo, Great Explorations, and the Tampa Museum. All have programs for kids. If you are looking for preschool, I recommend Tims Memorial Presbyterian off Sunset & 41.

I just had my baby 3 weeks ago and I went to Tree Frog Yoga. Michele was great! I can't wait to get the clearance to start the post natal yoga with baby. I would recommend checking into some of the pre schools around for part time programs. Your daughter did not make the cut off for pre-k for this year. They would most likely be more financially affordable than the programs at some of the other places.

Hi there. I would like to recommend Hand in Hand Academy. They have classes for 2 year olds and up. I am the Spanish teacher there and both by 6 year old and 2 year old attend there. It is a wonderful school and the location may be god for you. It is located on Lutz Lake Fern and US 41. You can check out their website www.handinhandacademy.com
