I think menopause usually happens somewhere in the 40s-50s, so I think it could be possible. Your best bet may just be to ask your doctor :)
I had my tubes tied after my last pregnancy, and now every few months I have been getting my normal period, which will last 3-5 days and then quit, and then a few days later, I will get brownish discharge, and that will continue off and on for the rest of the month. It's not heavy enough that I have to wear a pad, but when ever I wipe after I pee, it comes out on the tp. Anyone else have anything like this? Could it be premenapause symptoms or something else? I just turned 41, I always thought menapause didn't happen til the 60's. So not sure what to think and do.

I have read the pre menopausal issue can start as early as late 30's. So check with your doctor. Anything is possible
Hi Cheri,
After I had my tubes tied I experienced the same thing and still do 3 years later. I am 39. I also have a lot of clear/white discharge mid cycle which I assume is when I am ovulating. I have been told by my doctor that this is just excess liquid that did not come out when I was on my period. If it really bothers you I would mention it to your doctor at your next physical. Good Luck!
L.
I don't know if what you are experiencing is perimenopause, but I do know that my cousins started this phase in their early 30's!
