spotting is fine - cramping and progressively increasing bleeding is probably a miscarriage.
I've miscarried 4 times - one was an ectopic- & had 2 babies so I feel like I've seen it all.
IF it is a miscarriage -ask for a D&C - don't let them give you Misoprostol it's terrible.
I spotted with bot of my successful pregnancies around the time I would've gotten my period until the 4th month.
Stay as calm as you can, breathe through the panic attacks and know that no matter what happens this time you will have a baby when it's meant to happen.
Feel free to contact me if you need to talk, have ?? or just need to vent.
Hang in there- we are all rooting for you!

I guess the real answer is that you'll find a way to wait. It's the hardest game on the planet. And with the waiting, hope for a positive answer tomorrow, but either way, remember that God holds you in his arms.

All you can do is stay calm (as hard as that is) until the ultrasound... I am 17 weeks pregnant right now. I have spotted with both my pregnancies; I had a subchorionic hemorrage with my first son (everything was fine after that) and I had a little blood and passed a large clot with this pregnancy (I thought I was miscarring but it turned out if was what showed up as a rough spot in my uterus on the ultrasound). But all turned out well.

I was so excited at 13 weeks to FINALLY hear the heartbeat via the doppler. My nurse AND my doctor couldn't get it; needless to say, I started to panic on the inside. My doctor sent me over to have an ultrasound to check the baby out (our ultrasound is done in my OBs office so I didn't have to wait and I am so sorry yours is making you wait). But, there was my baby, everything good, heart beating well, but moving everywhere. At my 17 week appt, it took forever to get the heartbeat....they finally did and it turns out my little one is quite the "mover". If they are really active, it's really hard to get the heartbeat at this stage.

Long story short, it may be your little one is a mover and a shaker and it's hard to get the hearbeat. Just keep positive and wait for the ultrasound. My thoughts are with you. Good luck.

That is so scary. I'm sorry they are making you wait for an ultrasound. This is hard but try not to think about it. Keep your mind on something else until your appointment. This doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem. When I miscarried my two children, I bled a lot. There wasn't ever any spotting. But I've known people to spot and their children were fine. My doctors always have trouble finding a heart beat on mine so try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done... hang in there!

Think positive, try to stay calm (you won't know anything until tomorrow), pray if that is your belief ( will pray for you too) and get some rest. Try to do something that will take your mind off this (TV, reading, a crossword puzzle, talk to friends but about other subjects). I will be thinking good, positive thoughts for you tomorrow!!!!

Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do other than stay calm and try to get as much rest and sleep as you can. Think of the little one inside you, he/she needs you to be healthy, so he/she can be healthy.

Best of luck to you.

The baby is probably just in a hard position. When I was pregnant with my last daughter my doctor couldn't find the heartbeat so she gave me an ultrasound and everything was fine. Just try not to stress.

I am sorry for the experiance and feelings of fear you are facing. We just went thru this with my daughter in law and your right the next many hours are going to seem like a lifetime.
