If your period is late, you have a positive test and you feel pregnant, you are pregnant. That's not iffy.
i just took a pregnancy test ept digital test and i am not on any medication, and i feel very much pregnant which is why i took the test. i was wondering if anybody relied on ept and ever had a false positive?
thank you so much i really dont want another one right now because my daughter is about to turn two in february, but i will be happy because it's my baby and i will love it forever regardless.
so i am pregnant and i decided to keep the baby, and just start to prepare i dont know how far along i am but i have a doctors appt set for next monday. after the shock of it wore off i became very happy.
i would like to thank everybody for the kind words and support it really meant alot to me.

The hormone that makes a test show positive is ONLY there if you're pregnant. While false negatives are very common (hormone is still too low for good read), false positives are...well, nearly impossible.
Count your blessings. I was pregnant with my second when my DS was 9 months. A good friend got pregnant with her TWINS when her daughter was just 4 months. You have a nice age difference, but not too much.
Well, if you have not been trying to prevent pregnancy/are having sex, feel pregnant, and have a positive pregnancy test, you're probably pregnant.
I suppose anything is possible, though. Either take another test in a week or go to your doctor to confirm or deny it.
False positives are extremely rare. Congratulations! Nurse Midwife Mom
I had a false positive. From what i understand it was from the protein/blood in my urine. I have an autoimmune kidney disease. If you are healthy and not on certain meds.... congratulations!! 2 years apart is perfect!
so are you pregnant then? I agree with what everybody else said. Congrats!
I showed a false positive pregnancy blood test when my baby was 8 months old. I still didn't have a cycle after delivering and was still breastfeeding and they did the pregnancy test because I was having abdominal surgery. It was a routine blood test and I wasn't expecting to be pregnant. But it was a false test. They redid the blood work several days later and it was negative. It was probably hormones from breastfeeding or something. But if you're late on your cycle, feel pregnant, had sex, then it's probably not false. I don't think this is very common. Good luck!
False positives are very rare, so I feel congratulations are in order. My youngest will be 2 also in February and our little surprise 3rd blessing is due in June.
From the research I've done it's not possible to get a false positive because the test is looking for a certain hormone. If it's not there there's nothing to trigger the positive result. You can, however, get a false negative if you test too early or if your hormone build is slow.
Your pregnant. Ept. is a very reliable pregnancy test----never heard of a false positive. Hang in there, let it sink in and do what is right for you and your family.
Take care,
M
