No such thing as a false positive. You either have the pregnancy hormone, hcg, or you don't. Only way to really get a false positive is if you're on fertility treatments and have an hcg trigger shot then test too early. Now there are such things as evaporation lines (which are grey and people will think it's just a "faulty" blue) and there are chemical pregnancies (very early miscarriage). As far as the tests go, the pink dye are usually preferred because they're easier to read (less easy to mistake an evap line for a positive result when you're looking for pink lines).
