Hello mamas! I am pregnant with my second and have been dry heaving at least 7 times a day. I know this may sound crazy, but I am now only doing this two times a day and I am worried that something is wrong. I actually feel a little better. I am now hungry instead of just nauseous and I am having cravings. It seems like satisfying the cravings is helping me. A couple weeks before, little appealed to me. I had very little nausea with my son, so the change in symptoms is concerning me. Anyone have experience with this? PS I am 11 weeks.

What can I do next?

Somewhere around 11-12 weeks is when people normally start feeling better and stop having the nausea. You're very lucky on this one - mine lasted 16 1/2 weeks. But don't worry, it's perfectly normal.

Yes sweetie you a now passing the morning sickness phase where it's so often. You should start to have cravings and feel much better. You are soon entering your 2nd trimester and this should help a lot. I wasn't sick with my daughter at all, but when I was preggo with my son, man o man I was sick for 6 months. Throwing up everyday. My cat would gag and I would throw up. It was awful. Everyone is different, but it now seems like to you moving on to a better phase. Enjoy your pregnancy. Congratulations!

thank God, for relief from dry heaving and nausea!
I feel your relief, I have had a sudden difference also. I occasionally think of nasty things or change a really smelly diaper and dry heave again, but I feel like I am a wife and mother again. Mine lasted 2-1/2 months solid most of the day, and then boom, I hit week 12 and it was so strange that I thought something was wrong, but I felt so relieved. Now I am picking up where I left off on my housework and trying to see the surface of my house again. This is my third pregnancy, but the first morning sickness.
I wish you the best with the rest of what pregnancy brings!!!!

I've had three pregnancies- I was also sick. I found that the 11th week was my worst and things got better from there. I think you are nearing the end of your first trimester and you should be starting to feel better.

I've had 3 children. I wasn't all too sick with my first two, it was manageable and I only threw up once a piece with each of them. With my third the morning sickness was horrible all around. With my first I got the dry heaves more than I did with my second. My first 2 were boys, my third was a girl. I believe that may have been the difference for me. Every pregnancy is different too. And, like it's been said already, you're getting to your second trimester when hormones level off some and aren't such a drasticly jumping up issue so it is normal to start feeling better around this time. Congratulations on your newest little one to come :)

Usually "morning" sickness starts to gradually go away around 12 weeks, so you sound like you are on schedule to me. Mine started getting a litle better around 13 weeks I think, and was pretty much gone by 15. And then I was ravenous!

Your body is just getting used to the hormones now. You're almost out of your first trimester, and entering the "honeymoon" trimester. Sounds to me like everything is right on track. No pregnancy is the same; with my son I was nauseous but never threw up, and with my daughter I have thrown up.

You might want to grab a copy of what to expect when you're expecting. Even though it's your second, you'll no doubt learn and experience something new.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

I had dry heaves with both my sons and it does get better as the pregnancy progresses. I was only nauseous with my daughter (first pregnancy).

It's totally normal. From 6-10 weeks is when our hormone levels spike and it is usually when the worst of the morning sickness happens. Enjoy the ability to eat! You're out of the barfing woods!

It is fine. It's the same with nausea. You can have really bad nausea for weeks or even months then all of a sudden it lessens and goes away. Don't worry.

Sounds to me like you're coming out the other end of the morning sickness "joy"!
I was sick from 7 weeks to 12 with my current pregnancy. It shut off like a faucet at 12 weeks to the day. Literally, I just woke up one day and felt normal again.
It's normal. Be happy! You're through the 1st miserable part. :)

How far along are you? It sounds completely normal- "morning" sickness lasts for a day up to three months, and once that is over your body knows it needs to kick into gear and restore/stock up on lost nutrients.
If you're craving something- as long as its something edible- EAT IT! Just remember to eat healthy foods and drink LOTS of water.
Congrats, and try to relax a little and enjoy your little one before there are two :)
