I took a pregnancy test a few days ago 1 day before i was supposed to start my period. It was on of the ones the slept out pregnant or not pregnant. It came out pregnant. I was was supposed to start my period on the 16th i tested the 15th came out positive today is the 19th and i woke up to bleeding like i'm on my period. I took a test with the lines and i could see a very very very faint line. Im worried about the bleeding. Is it normal to bleed like this?

What can I do next?

It sounds like a miscarriage my dear. I'm sorry. I hope I'm wrong, but I have had 2 miscarriages this summer and had the same thing. Make sure to call your o.b. tomorrow ok? Let us know what happens please. I'd love to hear if I'm wrong. If I'm not, my most humble appologies, prayers and love are being sent your way!

I was here before and I went to see my OBGYN and was told I was having an early miscarriage. This may be what is happening so you should get to the doctor to find out. I allowed my body to process the miscarriage without getting a D&C done and it took a few weeks of going back and forth for bloodwork until my system was back to pre-pregnancy and ready to start a cycle again. My dr. told me that some women have miscarriages and never know because they do not test before a missed period unless they are trying to get pregnant. Most women wait until a week after and most early miscarriages happen within that time and are just thought of as a late period. I'm not sure what your situation is, but getting a check up is in order because there are usually not false positives. In my thoughts and prayers whatever the result may be. Good luck.

R.,
It's not normal to bleed like this during pregnancy. Pink or brown spotting is common and can be a concern, but often turns out to be nothing, but red blood is a definite concern and like the other women said, is likely to be an early miscarriage. I'm sorry :( It's amazing how attached you can be to your child after just a few days of knowing. Some people weather an early miscarriage fairly easily while others grieve deeply. Take really good care of yourself. And here's a link to an article I really love. http://www.mothering.com/pregnancy-birth/the-need-to-grie...

I am so very sorry for your loss. Take some time for yourself and get a massage or a pedicure. Nourish your body and your soul and let loved ones pamper you. (((hugs))) for you.
