Okay, I wrote a question last month about this too.

I thought I was pregnant and my test was negative. What if it was a false negative? It did come last month but it was 6 days late.
My period is 6 days late from when I started it last month. It seems like it keeps getting later and later as the months go by.

What do I do? Am I pregnant?

I had periods when I was pregnant with my son until I was 4 months along!

What can I do next?

you say your period is 6 days late...did you HAVE a period last month??? if you did then you didnt get a false negative last month.
If you didnt get your period last month then THIS month you are not 6 days late, you are 2 months late and should see a doctor.
its a 50 50 here if you are prego..but if you are concerned see your doctor about your cycle

You technically can't get a false negative with a pregnancy test. If you have *enough* of the hormone in your system you will test positive. So you could be someone who builds the hormone very slowly. Sometimes if you've gotten your period late it's because your body was working on a baby but it didn't take. Sort of a miscarriage. Most women never even know they were pregnant for a few days. This has happened to me a few times. Unfortunately, I'm very aware of my body and knew that I was pregnant (or working on it) and had proof that I was correct. There are LOTS of other reasons why your period could be late. Check out this list. http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/falsenegative.html

You'll get there, don't worry. Good luck!

If you're still getting a period every month chances are you are not, but it's still possible. Go to the doctor for a blood test. It could be your cycle is changing and it's doing it gradually each month.

Maybe, maybe not. I had almost a dozen false negatives until 10wks along this time. Go in for a blood test at your dr's.
