my son was hard to potty train too, i tried everything with him but he wouldnt go on the potty, he would go on the carpet too. i ended up keeping a potty chair where i could see it and made the effort of taking him in ever half hr to an hr almost like clock work, and every time i went in i took him with me. i wanted my son to learn sitting down but of course when he saw daddy standing up one time he decided it was a great idea too...lol. i had to teach him how to go standing up...that was a joy..lol my daughter on the other hand she would be good at every hr..but once i put diapers, pull-ups, or undies on her she would immediately wet them. i ended up getting a second hand carpet cleaner just to keep up with any accidents. i learned that girls are the hardest to train then boys. if your twins are boys then i would suggest keeping a clean coffee can near by for the pee bit. yes i said coffee can (works the best) if you are busy and can't get to the bathroom on the scheduled time that you want them to try to go then use the coffee can, and slowly transition to the potty as they go longer and longer without wetting. the b.m i would keep track on a calender for one week the time that they usually go. everyone has some what of a schedule their bodies follow every day. i would set an alarm clock once you have established roughly when they might have a b.m and set the alarm as to when you will try to take them to the potty. if you don't want to use the coffee can then i wouuld try cheerio's in the toilet or have them stand infront of the potty with their hands on the wall,(helps them aim). the cheerio's is to aim at in the toilet btw. girls i would try some of the same things, try to get a schedule down as to when you want her to try, the only problem is that it will take time. girls usually take about a couple of months before they really get the hang of the potty and trying to not have accidents. boys sometimes a month or more. print off calenders to put stickers on for each day they go accident free, (or mostly accident free, let them apply the stickers with help if need be). once they get say3-5 stickers in a two week period then have a day out, mcdonalds or some other place they love to go. just remember, try to have patients...i do know how you feel and had been there before, good luck!
