Potty Training Twin Boys - Lewisville,TX

I know there are a lot of twin mamas out there, my two youngest are almost 3 year old twin boys. We're not currently potty training, but I'm thinking it's going to be sometime this spring so I'm starting to think about how I'll want to approach it. With my older two boys (not twins) we trained at about 2 1/2 - 3 and used the 3 day potty training method. I like it a lot and think I'd like to use it again, but not sure how do-able it is with two that I'll need to concentrate on instead of one.
How did you potty train your twins? One at a time or together? How was the experience?
Thanks!
C.

We used the three day method but I started one first and then the other a week or two later. I also got my nanny or mom, or husband to be around as much as possible so i could entirely focus on the one I was working with. I got through it and you will too. :-)

I haven't started potty training my twin boys yet (they just turned two in Oct). But, I know a lot of my twin mom friends said they found it easier to train one then the other. Good luck! I am anxious to be out of diapers X 2, but not looking forward to potty training. I hope it goes well.

I have B/G twins, so it may be a bit different, but I potty trained them seperately. My girl was ready before my boy, so she went 1st, but I always had a 2nd potty for him, just in case he wanted to try. It was a huge motivation for him to see her getting treats (M&Ms) when she went on the potty, and even more when she got to carry the potty to the toilet and dump it out and flush (I found the dump/flush a huge motivator for all my kids). BTW, it took him only 2 days to train after watching her do it. I would start with the twin that seems most interested or talks about the potty the most. Good luck...you'll be free of diaper changes soon :)

I wish I'd thought of training them one at a time. I was a few months into it when a friend told me that's how she was doing hers. In hindsight, at least for my boys, it would have been easier. My mom started them LAST July (before they turned 2) and pushed it too hard. I spent a very frustrated year trying to train them. By July they were toilet trained. They turned 3 in August. One still sleeps in a pullup for naps

my MIL said her twins were easy to train, as they wanted to compete with each other to pee in the potty. She also used cheerios for them to aim at, if that helps.

My twins are boy/girl. My daughter was interested at 2 and my son wanted nothing to do with it, so I did them seperate. My son got interested shortly before he turned 3. They both took about 3 days because they were ready. I would suggest seperate and start with the one that is more interested. If they are competitive, the other will follow shortly behind. If they are not ready, then it will take longer and be more frustrating.
